I don’t know about you, but I have a really strong sweet tooth… I think that is why I am so excited to share some delicious desserts perfect for the holidays! Some recipes include:
🍎 - Apple Cinnamon Galette
🍪 - Chewy Gingerbread Cookies
🥮 - Spiced Apple Walnut Cake
All are gluten free and easily made vegan but swapping butter for plant based, eggs with either flax or chia eggs, and yogurt for a coconut/almond milk yogurt!

Let’s Talk Digestion 💁♀️
When our digestion isn’t functioning we may experience a slew of symptoms like:
* Bloating and Gas
* Heartburn and Acid Reflux
* Irregular Bowel Movements (Constipation & diarrhea)
* Fatigue and Low Energy
* Skin Issues and Food Sensitivities
But, there are many ways we can support our digestion that help to elevate symptoms and help our digestion system work at its best.
🧘♀️ Eat Mindfully: Create a calm environment while eating, focusing on your meal without distractions.
😋 Chew Thoroughly: Chew each bite of food around 15-30 times to aid digestion.
🥬 Incorporate Bitter Foods: Include bitter foods like arugula, dandelion greens, brussels sprouts, bitter melon, and radishes in your diet to stimulate digestion.
🚫 Avoid Trigger Foods: Steer clear of foods that can trigger heartburn, such as caffeine, alcohol, high-fat foods, and citrus fruits.
🔎 Identify Reactive Foods: Determine and avoid foods that you might be sensitive or intolerant to, including common culprits like dairy, gluten, and eggs.
🥗 Opt for Smaller, Frequent Meals: Instead of large meals, try eating smaller portions more frequently throughout the day to ease digestion.
💦 Stay Hydrated: Ensure you're drinking enough water to maintain proper hydration levels, which supports digestion.
I am not sure who needs to hear this, but I know I do. 🙋♀️
Rest and play are vital to our health. From releasing dopamine (the happiness hormone), providing increased mental concentration, better memory and overall mental health, improving our mood and metabolism, and reducing stress who needs any more reasons than those to rest and play? 🧘♀️
It doesn’t have to be extravagant or cost money. Tossing the ball with your kids or playing fetch with your dogs, taking a hot shower/bath, reading a book just for the fun of it, cooking a meal with the family while dancing to music. The important thing is to be intentional and present in that moment. 🙏
What are you doing this weekend to rest and play?
For me, I am going to take my pups for a walk in the park with my husband and sleep in on Saturday. 🐶😴 And oh am I looking forward to it.
