CrossCountry recently supported Junior Achievement of Greater Washington with their 3DE program. This involved Partners & Directors acting as business coaches to help 10th graders assemble a case study to solve a problem for Home Depot. Our employees also acted as judges for the program to select the winner who's case has been submitted to compete at the national level. Saturday, February 10 marks the Lunar New Year, the Year of the Dragon. With the support of our Network of Asian Professionals and Allies (NAPA) Employee Resource Group, we are focused on outreach, engagement, and bringing the larger CrossCountry community together to ring in the new year and celebrate events representing the Asian and Pacific Islander heritage and their allies.

Today marks the inaugural public holiday in Ireland for our Irish colleagues in celebration of Saint Brigid. Saint Brigid’s Day is a traditional Gaelic festival celebrated with various customs, such as lighting candles and creating Brigid's crosses. Alongside St. Patrick (who we celebrate each year on March 17) and St. Columcille, Brigid is one of Ireland’s three patron saints. It’s the first public holiday in Ireland named after a woman and has themes of hope, fertility, and renewal. It marks the beginning of spring in the Celtic calendar and the midpoint between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox.

Today kicks off our Black History Month celebration with the support of our Black Employee Network (BEN) Employee Resource Group, which is focused on education and reunification. This year, we want to focus on two integral aspects of Black history: the Divine 9 and HBCU (Historically Black College and Universities) culture. These pillars have played a significant role in shaping the narrative of African American excellence, resilience, and unity.

Throughout the month, we will highlight various employees and their experiences in the Divine 9 and at HBCUs.
