Moved the bedding plants out of the greenhouse on this cloudy day to harden them off and of course the sun came out full blast.
Just got in Fresh Batch of locally made pork skins and cracking. We have plain, salt& vinegar, BBQ and pickle flavors. Just made this morning!
This plum tree was here when I moved in 16 years ago. This is the first time it's had fruit on it!

This is what's called a pickling pear. It's a Bradford that has crossed with another species and gone wild. Bradford's may be an invasive species but they sure are purdy.
Cabbage, broccoli, Brussel sprouts are ready. All we need is to dry up a little.
A number of customers suggesting adding a few jalapeños to the Salsa Pimento cheese. As usual the customers were right! Delicious.

Major Announcement: The powers to be have decided to wait till 2028 to make Flag football an Olympic event and I'm afraid by then I'll be past my prime. So I have decided to focus my talents on Olympic Mudd puddle jumping. I believe my height and length of stride will give me an advantage.

Happy Winter Solstice??! Today is the day when the northern hemisphere is tilted furthest from the sun. Leading to the shortest hours of sunlight and the longest night. Tomorrow they're will be several seconds of additional sunlight so you can stay out a little later!
