Medford Porchfest
The 2nd annual MEDFORD PORCHFEST returns June 1, 2024. Sign up to host or play!
Good luck to Arlington Center for the Arts with Arlington Porchfest today, Saturday, June 15th. The folks from Arlington Porchfest were an invaluable resource when we started asking around how we might put a porchfest on here in Medford.
Folks, we are still as giddy as these two puffy characters from Orbital Gun about the great day last week!
If you attended Medford Porchfest as an audience member (“spectator” sells all your energy short), won’t you please fill out this quick survey?
It really does help us improve this event as we work to make it something sustainable for years to come.

Hosts and artists, please check your email for a survey specifically for you.
Thank you!
We have accounted for just about all of our yard signs in public places. If you see one in the wild or grabbed one yourself, let us know we missed it and we will come get it!
What an incredible day! In all corners of Medford, you turned out in droves to perform, host, take in the talent and spectacle, and most importantly spend time with your neighbors. Is two years long enough to call this a tradition? If not, well, 2025 is just around the corner.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone that was a part of Medford Porchfest 2024!
A reminder to hosts and performers of what you agreed to when you signed up. This is the #1 issue that makes this day much more complicated than it needs to be.
IT’S ON! We ordered some gorgeous weather for you to enjoy a hundred locations of Medford Porchfest! Come enjoy the best day of the year in our city from noon to 5pm. Map and schedule are up at https://medford.porchfest.info/map/ . Don’t forget to tag your pics with . See you out there!
We love our hosts and performers, but we also love all our neighbors in Medford, which is why we remind folks to keep Porchfest an event that works for everyone.
The best advice we can offer for tomorrow is good advice every day of the year—communicate, be nice, and try to meet one another halfway.
Happy porchfesting!
Look at all these amazing lineups scheduled for Saturday! Which performers are you making a beeline to see?
Our map and schedule are live at https://medford.porchfest.info/map/ ! Hosts and artists should have received an email confirming registration details.
We’re almost there—six days until Porchfest!
Seen on Sagamore Ave. This is the sort of thing that makes us go through all this trouble, and right when we need it. We’re glad you’re excited. The schedule will be out soon.
Our upcoming citywide festival of neighbors and music got a shout-out in the Boston Globe Magazine on Sunday! Many thanks to Nat Breen for catching this and letting us know!
The clock is ticking! Signups for Medford Porchfest 2024 end tonight at midnight. We have lots of hosts but can always use bands (or host/band pairs). Head to the link in our bio and sign up to play Medford Porchfest on June 1st!
A reminder that there are only a few more days to sign up to play Medford Porchfest 2024! Registration closes Monday, May 20th. Flip through for a quick walkthrough of how easy a decision this is. We already have close to a hundred acts signed up, but the more, the merrier!

We have a very limited number of Porchfest signs available for folks that live in a high-traffic spot. DM with your location if you would like to host one!
We’re hard at work pulling together all the pieces of Medford Porchfest 2024, but the most important piece is YOU! Sign up to play on June 1st (rain date June 2nd) at your house, your friend’s house, or your neighbor’s house. If you don’t have a place to play, we can find someone to host you! Visit medford.porchfest.info for more details. Signups are open until Monday, May 20th.
Yes, we are working on the next Medford Porchfest! We hope once again to bring you Medford’s citywide musical block party this June 1.
To that end we’re looking for a few more folks to fill roles on the Porchfest organizing committee. Are you good with fundraising, outreach, graphic design, public relations, web stuff, host/band coordinating, finance, volunteer coordination, or other event organizing skills? We might be able to use your help!
If you’re interested fill out the form at https://forms.gle/Jii26H6AWFb3CEMs6. There’s a lot to do in the next three months, and we hope to have plenty of hands to share the load.
Stay tuned for morei info!
We are overwhelmed by the enthusiastic turnout for Saturday’s first-ever Medford Porchfest.
In every neighborhood of the city, hosts, performers, neighbors, visitors from in town and beyond embraced this day of music and celebration more than we could ever have imagined.
“Drizzle? What drizzle” you said, playing and cheering and dancing, indifferent to the weather.
This event literally started with the question, “Why not Medford?” We have hopefully shown how much potential our city has to come together and make exciting things happen.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone that hosted, performed, spectated, and embraced Medford Porchfest. Thank you to the City of Medford, MA, USA for offering whatever help we needed, to Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn for being on board from the get-go, to the Medford Arts Council for giving us the grant to get off the ground, and to all the volunteers who gave their time because they believed in this event and in Medford.
We will see you in 2024!
If you attended, please fill out our survey at https://forms.gle/7uk9vjkDxyDenXwY7 to help us improve as we go forward (hosts and performers will receive separate surveys by email).

THIS IS IT! We are so excited that today Medford stops being the city without a Porchfest! A few quick reminders:
• Weather will not be (edit: very) rainy but will be cool, so dress accordingly
• Keep volumes respectful of neighbors. The goal is to be heard on the sidewalk, but not down the street.
• Open containers on public ways including sidewalks are illegal.
• Keep sidewalks and roadways clear for pedestrians and vehicles
• Be neighborly, be nice. Lots of folks here have never experienced a Porchfest—make their first impression a good one!
• And of course, HAVE FUN!
Map and schedule are at https://medford.porchfest.info. See you at noon!
TOMORROW! Shadows on the Mountain will be playing the inaugural Medford Porchfest at 52 Stickney St. starting from 3PM-4:30PM. Check out our Facebook event for more info!
