HALLOWEEN HOCKEY NIGHT!

Last night, your Royals won 4-2 against the Bellingham Blazers! We have one more home game of this series TONIGHT.

A little glimpse into this weekends power skating clinic with our head coach, Bobby Ruddle! We had a little over 40 skaters from all over the state join us this weekend! Thank you to @the_rrrink for organizing this clinic for us, as well as thank you to the families and skaters from @roguevalleyreign , @bendrapidsyouthhockey , and @klamath_falls_ice_hawks for sending your players!! We love contributing to the growth of hockey in Oregon and it all starts with skating and #hardwork! 🏒👑

We are searching for game day volunteers to help insure a smooth running game day! There is a lot that goes into making a junior hockey game and without our volunteers we would be a lost!

On Thursday, August 24th, the hockey community lost one of our own.

Michael Kowicki played right here in Medford, for the Southern Oregon Spartans during the 2012-13 season. While the program name has changed, our local hockey community is still very much the same, and whether you were a Wrangler, Spartan, or Royal, you will always be apart of our small town hockey family.

Our hearts are with the Kowicki family, his former teammates, and with his long time girlfriend Jacqui. His family is committed to creating opprotunities for future hockey players, in Mike's name. So, we ask that you consider donating to the GoFundMe linked below, as all of the proceeds will be donated to a youth hockey program in Michael Kowicki's home state of Michigan.

Attention Loyal Royals,

Join us in congratulating the Southern Oregon Womens Hockey Club, as they recently took 1st place at their first ever hockey tournament in Portland, OR! Ali Ruddle, Royals owner, is one of the founders of this club and competed with this group of ladies in this tournament!

We want to share this with our fan base for a couple of reasons, the first being that we are super proud of this group of ladies and the way they are growing the sport of hockey for girls and women here in the Rogue Valley, but we also want to take this opportunity to encourage any of YOU who have ever sat at one of our games and thought to yourself "I really wish I could play hockey". It's never too late to start and there truely is a program for EVERYONE at The Rrrink-Southern Oregon Ice Arena LLC!! Boys, girls, men and women, ALL AGES and ABILITIES, there is the opportunity for you to get out there and learn to skate and play hockey, as all of these programs have opportunities for beginners!! It truly is the best sport in the world, take a chance and give it a shot!

Go girls go!

Tonight, our little club player game 1 of the Dirty Birds Hockey Tournament here in Beaverton, OR. It was our first ever game and we WON 6-2!!

Our captain, Ali Ruddle, scored the first goal in the first 52 seconds of the first period, and the rest of the team didn't let off the gas after that! Defenseman, Miranda Gomez had two goals, as did forward Megan Hill! We also had a goal from defenseman Michelle Langston!

It truly was a team effort and victory. We couldn't be happier with our tournament debut! Follow our socials for more tournament updates! The ladies have two game tomorrow! 🖤🏒🤍
