Last week we had a great turnout for our Mens Invitational with more than 120 golfers participating! A big shout out goes to our golf committee for planning the event and to our full staff including the superintendent and his team that work tirelessly on keeping the course in amazing shape; our golf and food and beverage staff who provide the highest level of service to participants of the event, and Chef Gary Miller for his consistency in the meals served. We can't pull it off without all of you!

2020 Club Champions Crowned

The weather cooperated today and the course was in excellent condition to crown this year's 2020 Medford Village Club Champions.

In the Men's Club Championship, 2019 Champion Mike Korcuba took on long hitting Matt Gaffney in the 36 hole final. Korcuba's steady play and Gaffney's towering drives and deft short game made for an exciting final.
Down five with 8 to play Gaffney fought back by winning the 29th hole ( #11) and making birdies on #12 and #14 to cut the margin to 2 with 4 to play. Korcuba's 20' birdie putt found the hole on #15 (33rd Hole) to increase the margin back to 3. When on #16 (34th) was halved with pars, Korcuba successfully defended the Championship.
The day's play saw both players beat par for the day with Matt Gaffney shooting 1 under for the 34 holes, and Mike Korcuba finishing at 4 under par.

On the Ladies side, Mary Dooney took on Betsi Lynch in the final. Mary's solid, consistent play allowed the 2016, 2018, 2019 Champion to add the 2020 Championship to her awards.

In the Flighted Play, on the Men's side Ed Hennessy defeated Jack Batdorf 3 & 2 for Nicklaus Flight Honors, while Lorenzo Cenci was a 5&4 winner over Bill Jensen in the Palmer Flight. Todd Herman took Player Flight honors with a 4 & 2 win over Bob Davy.

STRIGH WINS AT CEDARBROOK AND LEADS PHILLY PGA JUNIOR PLAYER OF THE YEAR RACE!

Coming off her stellar play Monday at Cedarbrook by firing an 83, Olivia Strigh picked up her sixth win of the season!

Olivia has amassed 203.5 points and leads the Girls 16-18 age group Player of The Year points by 94.5 over her closest rival.

Hannah Puc is currently 9th in the 13-15 age group with 88.5 points and 2 wins this season.

Way to represent ladies!!!!!
