Grateful for you MLK,
In honer of the great Martin Luther King who was truly a star in the darkness of this world, he taught me so much...his life, his actions, his influence and his invitation to dream. When I was a brown little girl growing up in a community & culture where no one looked like me, or was like me, or at times did not accept or embrace me Martin Luther King day was always a very special day when so many people could come together and celebrate who we are as African-Americans but also who we all are as the human race. That we were all created by love for love. That we were all created in Gods image and that we are all Beloved and sacred. Thank you Martin Luther King for inviting me and giving me permission to be a Dreamer, for encouraging me to celebrate who God has created me to be, to Bring Hope, and to be Love itself and to Love others. This was my own my personal story,... it was through the darkness that I was able to see who I was truly made to be.
