If you are receiving ads or
Promotions in your mailbox for 20 min workouts 2x per week its not going to work. Its important for seniors to do weight bearing and resistance weight training 3 to 6 days per week. You can get some benefit with 2 days but not enough to make significant changes.
You must workout or do activity 3 to 6 days per week for 30 to 60 min. any less is not enough. Dont believe the junk science. I have 37 years of experience and multiple degrees and these articles and research to back it up

I try to warn my clients all the time of the dangers of fast food and take out. This man won an Oscar for his documentary where he only ate McDonalds for 30 days. He got so unhealthy the Doctors told him he took years off of his life just from the 30 days of eating McDonalds. Well he just died young from Cancer. Stop taking your kids to fast food and you stop eating it ASAP.

Most of us know that strength training (with free weights, weight machines, or resistance bands) can help build and maintain muscle mass and strength. What many of us don't know is that strong muscles lead to strong bones. And strong bones can help minimize the risk of fracture due to osteoporosis.
Osteoporosis should be a concern for all of us. An estimated eight million women and two million men in the United States have osteoporosis. It is now responsible for more than two million fractures each year, and experts expect that number will rise. Hip fractures are usually the most serious. Six out of 10 people who break a hip never fully regain their former level of independence. Even walking across a room without help may become impossible.
A combination of age-related changes, inactivity, and inadequate nutrition conspire to gradually steal bone mass, at the rate of 1% per year after age 40. As bones grow more fragile and susceptible to fracture, they are more likely to break after even a minor fall or a far less obvious stress, such as bending over to tie a shoelace.

Medford CORE training utilizes many techniques and scientific research but our favorite is the High Intensity Interval Training which is the ideal workout for a busy schedule—whether you want to squeeze in a workout during your lunch break or to get in shape for a fast-approaching event. Research shows you can achieve more progress in a mere 30 to 45 minutes of interval training (done three times a week) than jogging for an hour. A recent study presented at the American College of Sports Medicine Annual Meeting, just 2 weeks of high-intensity intervals improves your aerobic capacity as much as 8 weeks of endurance training. Not only do you burn more calories during a Medford CORE training session, but the effect of all that intense exertion kicks your body's repair cycle into hyper drive. That means you burn more fat and calories in the 24 hours after a Medford CORE Training workout than you do after a run or bike session.
In addition to increased fat burning and more muscle preserved, HIIT stimulates production of your human growth hormone (HGH) by up to 450 percent during the 24 hours after you finish your workout. This is great news since HGH is not only responsible for increased caloric burn but also slows down the aging process, making you younger both inside and out!
