Trees are Alisha's favorite thing to paint! Come join her and see why while gaining confidence in your ability to make trees the stars of your landscape paintings. Alisha uses her nearly 20 years experience painting to teach techniques and skills, while encouraging everyone to develop their own creative voice. All experience levels are welcome.

Summary: In this 4-part workshop we'll focus on creating realistic animal textures, putting an emphasis on the four basic textures of fur, feathers, fins, and scales. By learning the basics of each, you can apply/adapt them to any animal subject, real or imagined.

Here’s the unvarnished truth: leaving a finished painting as-is, or adding a final coat of varnish is totally up to you, but there’s some great benefits to varnishing your paintings:

- protects the artwork from the accumulation of dirt and dust
- enhances the final look of your masterpiece with a radiant glossy, matte or satin finish
- over the years, varnish will act as a shield that prevents dirt and dust from damaging your painting’s surface
- varnish can be easily removed, and your painting can be revarnished, restoring its original brilliance
