Do you want to give back to the Greater Boston area in unique ways? Are you interested in connecting with nonprofits that engage with the immigrant and refugee community? If so, come join Jumbos for Nonprofits (previously TCPL) at our GIM this Monday (1/30) at 7 PM in JCC 160!
Each semester, JFN chooses an impact area and engages with nonprofit organizations in Greater Boston and Massachusetts that operate within that impact area and the communities it affects. Members of JFN do so through partnering with a nonprofit and serving as a resource to the organization; helping it in achieving its mission through providing support with events, media outreach, fundraising, administrative tasks, etc.
In Spring 2023, JFN’s chosen impact area is immigrant and refugee rights and will also be hosting an event in April/May of 2023 with a focus on this issue. Additionally, members of JFN engage in service with an organization of their choosing for approximately 4 hours a month and meet monthly for dinner to discuss and reflect on their volunteer experiences. Come to our GIM to learn more about what involvement in JFN looks like!
