‼️I’m F.I.N.E. Is this your standard answer❓

✅ Check in on your emotions. Are you OK, or are you masking?

✅ Talk with a trusted source and gently peel back the layers.

✅ Allowing for self-care and emotional awareness as you go inward to move emotionally forward!▶️

‼️When you are ready, let’s talk and even allow ourselves to cry! It’s healthy, and it has the potential to liberate our inner being!

❓Ever had someone tell you not to cry, It will be okay ⁉️

➡️ Or What about this statement: “If you don’t stop that crying, I’ll give you something to cry about!”
🤨I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard this and repeated this learned behavior that hinders emotional clarity!

💡But now I know better and have 😐unlearned this behavior. 🗝️

🤔While these statements are often unintentional, consider 💭 we are emotionally different based on our life experiences, and crying 😢 in a safe space is good 😊 for the soul! Please CRY!! 💙

Are you stuck in a cycle of emotional pain based on unintentional myths and misinformation? If so that was my story, too. I discovered that mixed emotions are complicated, and normal as we experience grief. And that's just how it is and that’s okay!

But first things must be first; you can CHOOSE to FeeL all the FeeLINGS, which means crying might be the release you need to begin the journey. Otherwise, you may have challenges regulating your emotions, meaning outbursts or overreacting to life's ups and downs.

"Let It Flow" reveals the healing power of tears. It also points out some of the misinformation we receive over a lifetime and possibly clarifies the “why” we stay stuck in emotional pain from grieving experiences.

💙 How do you understand the inner connection between your emotional pain and grief?

🤎Seek to understand before expressing from a learn behavior perspective, considering we often do great unintentional emotional harm to others when we don’t understand and or know what to say and do.

⁉️Don’t know what to say? Simply saying, “I am so sorry for your loss,” or “I CAN’T imagine how you must feel right now.” These statements serve a purpose.
1. : I see you.
2. : You matter.

💙Emotional validation is recognizing, understanding, and accepting another person’s feelings. It creates space for the person to experience these emotions and process things without fear of judgment or rejection. In short, it helps them feel like their feelings matter.

On silence:

💙 Saying nothing creates uncomfortable silence. However, it is the better option if you don’t know what to say; otherwise, you risk creating more emotional damage.

💭 Consider serving others with and . Every single person will experience the emotional pain of grief. Learn and expand your knowledge, and then share and help someone along your journey.

This week, I will focus on .
is a shared experience of a group (church, community, nation), such as school shootings, Racism, natural disasters, and COVID-19, among other things.

Please help others by sharing in our communities, faith communities, and families who experience collective grief.
And often, on a daily and sometimes hourly basis, we experience the emotional panic of grief.

Photos from Anna L. Woods's post 07/29/2024

⁉️Do you understand the far-reaching impact of the emotional pain of Grief? I sure did not.

🤎As we conclude Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, consider this. According to the FDA, in 2020, less than half of African American adults received mental health treatment. 💙❤️🖤💚💛🤎

⁉️Why: Stigma, Lack of faith base support, or perhaps lack of grief education or All of these above⁉️

🙏🏾Think 💭 about yourself and your understanding, ponder. 🤔

💚Because what I am understand now is this, we often don't associate the impact grief has on our mind, body, and spiritual health when we inhibit grief.

🤎Inhibited Grief is grief that has been held back, restrained, or otherwise prevented from being fully emotionally experienced. It often occurs due to a lack of knowledge or understanding of Grief.

🤔Consider this: If a significant life change or loss happens and you feel yourself trying to restrict your grieving process, pushing away strong emotions, or trying to stay busy, you may be inhibiting your grieving and, by extension, your healing process.

💭Instead, pause meditate feel the feelings perhaps ponder, journal, and name your emotional pain of Grief.

Gratitude.
It has transformed how I see the world, giving me a new perspective to view loss and grief differently.

I now see losses not as endings but as new beginnings related to seasons that naturally change. There is a season for everything and a time for every purpose under heaven…

To attempt to remain in seasons past is uncomfortable and creates stress on the physical body, emotions, and overall well-being.

From this perspective, I can reflect in the rearview mirror of life while moving forward into the next season with contentment, deep joy, and gratitude for this journey.

And I am grateful. ---Anna Laura 💙

Shall we tune into our emotions or push our feelings aside?

If appropriately handled, unexpected non-linear life changes can build emotional resilience and better prepare us for life quakes.

So, let us consider life quakes as grief or grieving experiences found as a response to a significant change of any kind not just death and divorce.

Grief education supports how we respond, understand, and process the feelings and emotions of life quakes. Tuning into emotions through change and transitions (grief) matters to mental wellness.

Gratitude.
I have learned this most valuable truth: I can have contentment and quietly feel a deep sense of joy and satisfaction no matter the circumstances. Contentment has come through deep valleys of sadness and mountaintop experiences.
I am living life in a posture of gratitude that produces this most valuable feeling of joy.

And I am grateful.

4Aspects of a balanced life.

According to Arthur Brooks there’s four aspects of living a balanced life. They are Faith, Family, Friends, and Work (meaningful work) in equal parts can lead to a balance life.

What are your thoughts?

How’s your balance? Is it fully, slightly or totally off balance?

I frankly work on a balance life every day, it’s not about perfection ( that’s impossible 😊) it’s about the journey! Enjoy life! 🩵

Hi, I'm Anna L. Woods

Welcome to my professional page and thank you for accepting my follow request.

Throughout my journey, I have experienced many losses, and for most of my life, I did not link those losses to grief. The loss of my Mother in 2016 set me on a quest to seek a greater understanding of my emotions and the trauma caused by her death. In my search for grief support, I discovered a stellar educational component, The Grief Recovery Method®, that helped me reach a place of joy and completeness again.

Grief recovery is hard emotional work. Allow me to listen to you, coach you, and take the journey with you, as you choose the next best step on the path to recovery, healing, peace, and fulfillment.

I would love to share and take that journey with you.
