One of the things we asked our judge to do this year was to write a few words about what impressed him about your work. It’s always nice to hear what made your piece special to them and I wanted to share it with you.

Henrimae Bell, “High Tea”
This acrylic-on-wood painting tells a story. Three figures dressed in flowing gowns create a compositional triangle, while we see fields viewed through the window. It poses the questions, “What happened before this moment?” and “What happened after this moment?”

I hope you can find a way to use it in the future.
