I've had a lot of you message me with concerns about the timing. Sooooo I have given it a lot of thought and I've decided to add an evening class as well.

The morning and evening will be the same class, so if you can't make the morning class, maybe you can make the evening.

Also, I'm going to post it as a FB Live event, rather than Zoom.

This is going to be a donation based class, so if you love it, donations can be made on Venmo. I'll post that info later as well as a list of items you may like to have nearby during the class. You should have just about everything you'll need at home already, so no need to buy any fancy equipment.

I can't wait to meet you here on FB Live Wednesdays in August.

How many "crafts" do you dabble in?

I thought I'd try a little painting. It's been years since I picked up a brush (not including painting walls) . Funny how your hands need a minute to remember how to do something when you've taken a years long break.

Wall hanging #2 finished.....maybe I'll buy some feathers for this one. What do you think?

Going outside of my stitch comfort zone and diving into my birthday present book.

There's a project I'd like to make but I get stuck on the same old stitches. So far making swatches has been a blast! Double bonus too, because I'm using up a bit of my old stash and getting some sample swatches in the process, win win!!!!

Finished!!! My biggest project to date! With a lot of help from my Addi King circular knitting machine I made a 6' long blanket for a client friend of mine. I estimated that it took about 25 or so hours of work and 16skeins of Red Heart Brushed Yarn. I'm not known for my dedication to large projects, but I wanted to push myself, and I'm glad I did!!!!!

Last month I moved into a new apartment. Yay go me!!!!

After moving in and organizing my yarn, stash and all my craft supplies, I realized that on my current creating and buying a trend, I will be approximately 139 years old before I get through all of my yarn, yards of fabric and countless seed beads, and other project ideas. So I've decided to put myself on a buying freeze until I work my way through some of what I already own.

I also have one final pretty large commission blanket I'm "nearly" finished with. I have imposed deadline on myself so I can get this finished and off my plate. (I'll post photos of that soon)

In the spirit of non buying and no new commission pieces until a good half of my stash has been worked, I've started making a decoration for my new apartment. It's completely funky and eclectic, but it'll use up some very random yarn and bring a bit of whimsy to my new abode. I've collected all of the yarn I have left from monthly subscription boxes and I'm making a bunting for my window. So far I've followed a pattern for a few of the pieces, and winged it on a few others. I have a little ways to go still, two more balls of yarn to dip into and then connecting them to hang. It's been a fun make so far!!!!

Do you ever get into a crochet rut? I've been a little off my game lately. But lucky for me I was gifted a few crochet books and some velvet baby yarn by a dear friend. So I picked a pattern and went to town. It was nice to make something without giving it to much thought.

I took the tiny hearts one step further and made a few out of wool, sewed two together and felted them. Originally they were supposed to be for the kitty. Clearly Lucy has a different option.

If you have any wool yarn laying around you want to use, check out my my page a few posts back and you'll find instructions on tiny crochet hearts. All I did was make 2, and sew the edges together. Then washed and dried them to felt them. And voila, kitty toys! (Or spoiled puppies that don't like to share toys) I did experiment with adding more rows and using larger hooks, etc. Just to get a little variety in case the felting really shrunk them. You may want to play around with the yarn you have and put your own spin on yours for your fur baby.

These little hearts work up so quickly. They don't even take 2 mins to make. I'm working on a little project with the pile I have done so far. ❤️💛💚💜💙
