🌞All you need to do to participate is come in comfortable, breathable clothing that allows for movement, bring a water bottle, and maybe a friend! All are welcome ❤️🧡

💃🏻Ecstatic dance is an opportunity to drop all inhibitions and free the Self into rhythm, music, energy, and movement in a non-judgemental space. In this space of community and acceptance, we are given permission to participate in a free flow of the body and release of the mind. We move without preconception or judgement and open up to a deeper connection with the earth, our guides, and our primitive and sacred nature. 💫👯

Sekhmet (𓌂𓐍𓏏𓁐) and her Great Transformation through Sacred Plant Medicine

Sekhmet was the Egyptian Goddesses most associated with healing and medicine in ancient Egypt as well as the goddess of fire, hunting, the desert, wild animals, death, war, violence, retribution, justice, magic, transformation and the mid day sun. She was depicted as a woman with the head of a lion and a sun disc at the top of her head.

At the beginning of time, the story goes, when gods lived among men, a rebellion was formed to overthrow the sun God Ra,. After ruling for centuries Ra had become old, and grew weaker every day, until humans decided that Ra was not fit to rule over them any longer. Humans became disobedient and began to overthrow the divine laws of Maat as a result harmony fell out of balance. Ra became angry at mankind and created Sakhmet from the fire of his eye as he looked upon the earth, he then instructed Sekhmet to destroy humanity. When sekhmet’s bloodlust was not quenched, sekhmet became uncontrollable Thoth and ra devised a plan to pour out a lake of beer dyed with red pomegranate in order to alter the appearance of blood. Mistaking the beer for blood, Sekhmet drank it all and became so intoxicated that she gave up on the slaughter and returned peacefully to Ra.

The transformation of Sekhmet from a bloodthirsty goddess to one of healing and love indicates that her transformation was one of a spiritual nature indicating that plant medicine such as the sacred blue lotus or psilocybin may have been involved in the brew in order to pacify sekhmet. Sekhmet was a prominent Goddess of ancient Egypt, many statues of her were made across the two lands. She is now viewed as a goddess of love and transformation and many choose to work with her in their spiritual practices. Her energy can still be felt to this day in the original remaining statues. Many have claimed to have wept or fallen to their knees at the site of her statue overcome with emotion. It is believed that the primal energy of the goddess still remains alive waiting to strike when mankind disobeys the laws of Maat once more.
