Today, judges from the University of Memphis and LeMoyne-Owen College announce the following short films, directed by Memphis/Shelby County filmmakers, have been selected for screening at The Porretta Italy Film Festival December 7–15, 2024:

Caleb Suggs- “Love Shake”
Kyle Taubken- “Soul Man”

Sooo...we've been holding something in for a while. This summer, Studio Suggs won a SILVER TELLY AWARD for our movie "All The Red Flags" in the category of 'Non-Broadcast Comedy.' 🏆 The Telly Awards are a premier international organization that's honored excellence in media and television every year since 1979. So...this is a really big deal for us‼️ We're so blessed and honored to receive such a prestigious award for our movie! The first of many. 💪🏾

This weekend was a blast. Thanks to everyone who was able to come out and help us film our next short film, “That Joke Is Mine!” We’ve got a few more things to shoot and then it’s off to post production! Excited for everyone to see this one. It’s gonna be a fun one.

The Clean Shorts Film Festival takes place on Saturday, May 11 at Moore Norman Technology Center - Franklin Road Campus, in Norman, Oklahoma and is COMPLETELY FREE to the public!

So we're a little late on the announcement, but we're happy to let y'all know that "All The Red Flags" and "Loveshake" were officially selected for the 2023 HOLLYWOOD INDEPENDENT FILMMAKER AWARDS towards the end of year. Big thanks to all the cast, crew, and supporters whose dedication helped us gain another festival selection. We're starting the new year looking forward to many more!!!

On this night 2 years ago...

Studio Suggs was launched at the Malco Forest Hill Cinema with the theatrical premiere of "Loveshake" and "Homeboys Haunted 2." Now, we're 2 years & 5 films in, and we couldn't have done it without A LOT of help! So, on our 2-Year Anniversary today, we're taking the time to say THANK YOU to all the amazing cast, crew, and supporters we've had along our journey. We couldn't get a pic of everyone in this post, but we just want y'all to know that we appreciate all the hard work and support! We really do work with the best people💯 Here's to many more years!
