As we come together to celebrate the spirit of Kwanzaa, I, Dr. Telisa Franklin, President of Memphis Juneteenth, would like to extend my warmest wishes and heartfelt greetings to each and every one of you.

Kwanzaa is a time of reflection, unity, and gratitude. It is a celebration of African-American culture and heritage, reminding us of the principles that guide us in our daily lives. This festive occasion encourages us to embrace the values of unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity, and faith.

During this Kwanzaa season, let us take a moment to reflect on the incredible strength and resilience of our community. Despite the challenges we have faced, we have continued to uplift one another, empower ourselves, and strive for a better future.

As we light the Kinara and gather with loved ones, let us remember the importance of coming together as a community. Let us support each other, inspire one another, and work towards the common goal of progress and prosperity.

May this Kwanzaa bring you joy, love, and a renewed sense of purpose. May it remind us of the importance of unity and the power of collective action. Let us continue to celebrate our culture, honor our ancestors, and pave the way for future generations.
