Summer Missions is Over -Time to Transition to School Year missions and ministry.

But, we must truly say Thank You to Father God for His summertime blessings. Our beloved communities across the 901 that we have the privilege of serving were impacted, Inspired and Influenced in so many ways by so many wonderful friends/missionaries from across our city & country this summer from sports camps, kidz clubs, soccer camps, entertaining block parties, construction of a new Red Door mission center in Mill Creek Apts, grill ministry serving gourmet burgers on wheels , music camp, landscaping of playgrounds, basketball camp, Door2Door evangelism. Through our Reading Made Fun Summer Camp for 7 weeks of "NO holds barred literacy intervention facilitated by the incomparable Karen Vogelsang & faithful Volunteers, our precious scholars were able to make tremendous gains in both Reading fluency & comprehension.

Today capped off a great week with our SummerFest. This summer was Amazing, more to come later but today, S/O of THANKS to so many. First to Father God for doing it again!

Bellevue Young Adults for faithfully serving all week with Missions Memphis. Dominique Monae Gates for the Awesome backpacks filled with much needed school supplies. MoXie Way Inc. the dynamic duo of Marissa Williamson and Whitney Watson for the high energy games. Master Barbers Eway Da Barber and Jonathan Stout "JB", and Kennon for the fresh kutz. Kordissa Phillips Dee Dee for the fancy nail painting. Uknow Fro for doing his Thang on the mic, like none other!

Thanks to all the precious helping hands from Fullview Missionary Baptist Church , Brown Missionary Baptist Church, Bellevue Baptist Church and our dear brother Big Homie, Inc. Tim Change Jones for blessing us with His mic appearance!

Great 1st day of Mission Memphis with our beloved Bellevue Young Adults serving all week in Lakeview Gardens at Geeter Park Baptist Church 4815 Percy Rd.

Bring out the kiddos for this Amazing Kids Camp at 2pm. Tuesday- Thursday. Those in attendance get first dibs on backpacks at SummerFest on July 27th.

Praise the Lord for the precious souls that were added to His kingdom today!!

What an Extraordinary week of Missions and Ministry. All summer, we have had some precious teams come to our city to serve in many different ways in New Horizon, Mill Creek, and Hillview Village Apts.

Thankful for the Mission Serve teams this past week that served and blessed our wonderful scholars.

Grateful for a fun trip to Magic Springs yesterday to celebrate the summer long hard work of our scholars in our Reading Made Fun Summer Camp.

This upcoming week, we are blessed to close out our summer with our dear friends from Bellevue Baptist Young Adults with Mission Memphis. We will be serving in the Lakeview Gardens Community alongside the Geeter Park Baptist Church Family, doing Kids Camp starting tomorrow at 2pm and concluding Saturday, July 27th, with SummerFest.

Today concluded another impactful week of learning in our Reading Made Fun Summer Camp with some Amazing & Compassionate friends coming into Kingsgate New Horizon Apartments to pour into our precious scholars.

Our new friends from Gospel Light Baptist Church in Hot Springs Arkansas Glow Teens capped off our week with some extreme love & high energy on the basketball courts. They braved the heat to love on our dear kiddos with a variety of basketball skills & drills. We are rejoicing for the precious souls that were added to God's kingdom!

In the words of our wonderful friends from Dewar-First Baptist Church Oklahoma on their mission experience this week in our beloved 901, "Fulfilling, Optimistic, Amazing, Formative, Exciting..."

We at Red Door Urban Missions expressed our one word as "Indescribable!" Our friends blessed us with painting, installing plumbing and ceiling fans, telling Bible stories, playing games, doing crafts, doing block parties, & of course enjoying Jerry's Sno Cones. 😃 Their Presence and God's Presence in them were "Indescribable." Can't wait until 2025!

Now we get ready for our new friends from Gospel Light Baptist Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas to join us next week. We are looking forward to their energy in bringing sports camps to our precious kiddos in Kingsgate New Horizon Apartments Hillview Village Apartments Mill Creek Apartments.

This past week our precious friends in New Horizon Apartments Hillview Village Apartments Mill Creek Apartments were served well with love, respect and dignity by our beloved friends from First Baptist Church of Pelham , Birmingham, AL.

We are so Thankful for this Amazing Team of 116 missionaries for pouring themselves out for 5 days, they worshipped, praised, danced, cried, prayed, grilled, constructed, sweated, laughed, painted, played, planted, mowed, hugged, shared, & loved on our beloved 901.

We are Praising God for the 170 precious souls that were added to His kingdom!!

FREE Summer Camp for grades 1st-5th. Located in New Horizon Apartments at Red Door Urban Missions Center.

The focus of this camp will be primarily Reading. Our desire is to help our precious children that are struggling in reading to get to and beyond their reading levels. Reading on grade level is important on so many levels!!

Volunteers are welcomed to join us as we go Back to the Basics in helping our scholars mitigate summer reading slide within our inner-city communities.

The month of April is Child Abuse Prevention Month... and every Thursday of this month we have been challenged by Evangelist Charlene Compton-Womack to End Child Abuse Now! She has faithfully promoted the importance of strengthening & empowering families & our precious children with resources & tools to prevent child abuse & neglect. She stressed that together we can prevent child abuse, because childhood lasts a lifetime!

The month concluded with a Game Day of Fun & Excitement to End Child Abuse Now! We are so Thankful to Sis. Shirley for pouring into and loving our families and children in New Horizon Apartments and allowing Red Door Urban Missions to join in.

Today will go down in history as our Community Heroes from Kingsgate New Horizon Apartments put smiles on the faces of the precious scholars & staff at Wi******er Elementary. They blessed the Amazing students & staff with a pizza party..but, Above the food, their Presence was invaluable!! Each of these gentlemen went Above & Beyond serving, laughing, reflecting, playing and thanking God for being able to be a blessing to their old stomping groundl!

Huge S/O to our Community Heroes from Kingsgate New Horizon Apartments for once again showing up & showing out for our precious scholars at Wi******er Elementary during TCAP. They are making an everlasting impact on our promising leaders of today & future leaders of tomorrow.

Thanks to Dr. James Patton Jr. the Incomparable Principal of WES & ALL the GREAT STAFF for receiving us & allowing these gentlemen to be themselves in speaking into the lives of these young precious souls!

Our Community Heroes will be blessing the 4th/5th graders with a pizza party for their hardwork during TCAP. I'm blessed to know these Dynamic Gentlemen & to see how God is using them to change lives! Another Amazing Day serving with our faithful Bellevue Young Adults friends. It was a lovely day to hangout with our wonderful Hillview Village Apartments friends...feet were massaged, nails were painted, flag football & games were played, food was grilled, doors were knocked on, friendships were made, prayers were prayed, Jesus was exalted & souls were added to God's kingdom!
