I’ve been so consumed with writing, editing, and dealing with the fact that my story is out there, I have not been on Facebook much, except posting a daily scripture and my Wordle results (which I can post from the app),

To Tell Somebody is a major undertaking. Not just the writing of the books (it’s A Trilogy, so there are two more books coming, soon).
It’s the remembering,…the reliving moments I had tried a lifetime to forget…the emotions - good ones, bad ones, terribly awful ones, unfathomably painful ones. The introspection, the wondering what folks must think of me that first time the violence occurred, the second time it happened, the third time…The Two Years, Four Months, One Week, and A Day that I stayed…

While some have purchased the book and have it on a shelf; others have actually read the book. Some say it’s difficult to read…because of their connection to me. I ask that you please read the book…Spoiler- I survived!

It was written from the heart by a woman who loved a man who claimed to love her; but, who instead, beat her, regularly. I wrote it for the women (and, men) in abusive relationships, out of a violent relationship, and the ones who did not live to make it out. It is written for the women who are about to enter an abusive relationship, unknowingly. It is also written for the man who is the abuser.

The light in all of this is that I have met some remarkable women who have, themselves, been victims of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. There stories are compelling, just as remarkable as they are.

I have my voice. Until they can Tell Somebody, I am their voice, too.

I was just thinking about this very post/picture minutes ago! There are a lot of folks in our lives masquerading as sheep 🐑 who are wolves 🐺 bent on destroying our peace, joy, happiness, comfort, home, lifestyle, Love, lives (I could go on ad infinitum, but I won’t). Some people don’t deserve to be in your life. Once they show you that they don’t know how to appreciate you, how to care for you, how to love you, get them out of your life, or you get out of theirs! Life is too short to spend it with someone who can’t, won’t, does not, and does not even want to treat right!
