📣 This is really going to be fun! Yes, that’s me driving the car! I’m 30-something again and will be the mom in my new children’s book coming this December. 😂 ADAM AND AVA TRADE PLACES (for ages 3-8)
👉🏽 I always immerse myself in every book I write, especially since the main characters narrator voices come from deep within me. I take on the roll and mentality of my characters as I write, so here I am with 6-year old twins this time. School visits, in-person events, book signings, etc. will be much more fun because the children will be able to relate to me as the mom in the book, especially in the same clothes… lol (I just hope they don’t say I must be the grandma…😂)

p.s.
Adam and Ava are the bonafide stars and heroes in this book series. I’m just tagging along because somebody had to be the mom. 😜

Take some time today to check out this new book on its launch day. My review is noted below. Suffice it to say, I think you will be hooked once you start reading this novel by Joanna Alonzo.

Insightful words spoken by an ailing King Edward to his once wayward son, Prince Philip, who was bracing himself for the impact of a kingdom thrust upon him during the threat of war with a neighboring island.

Rest assured this is not a typical fairy tale or typical Christian fiction for that matter. The two main characters, Prince Philip and his fake fiancé Vivienne, will tug at your heartstrings as you are immersed from the very beginning of this high stakes romance. I found myself so immersed in this story that I wished I had the time to sit all day and binge read from beginning to end.

Joanna Alonzo is a brilliant author who has weaved together an emotionally charged masterpiece inspired by the biblical story of Queen Esther. I couldn’t wait to turn the page to see what happened next. Throughout the drama, I had to remind myself that the emotions I was feeling were based on fictional characters. My mind knew that, but my heart had a hard time not being truly fixated on whether the story would have a happy ending. There were so many twists and turns that I didn’t know who to love, who to trust, who to pity, and yes—who to despise.

Suffice it to say, I thoroughly enjoyed the intrigue, the romance, the drama, the suspense, the powerful storytelling, and the truth hidden inside the pages. Although technically a work of fiction, we can all learn from this book and be inspired to serve God first and foremost. While Philip and Vivienne thought they came from vastly different backgrounds, they discovered, just as we all should, that humanity is interconnected regardless of where we come from or where we may try to hide. All is not fair in love and war, but if you trust God above all else, you cannot fail.

In other words, buy this book! My only regret is that it ended. I am now officially an addict and can’t wait to read the next book in this series!

Mark your calendars! This book by my dear friend is coming 09.23.23! As if her words are not powerful enough to lift the characters right off the page and into your heart, she is also quite gifted with visual aids to truly bring her characters to life.

Coming this December…. And yes, I’m as surprised as you are that I wrote a children’s picture book! (Ages 3-8)

I’ll probably change this book synopsis at least 25 times before it’s finalized… 😂 Here’s the first draft.

👉🏽 Six-year-old Ava’s silly question to her twin brother reveals a not well thought out plan. “Adam, wouldn’t it be fun to trade places and trick Mommy?” Come along for their adventures at school as they discover what can happen when a person pretends to be someone they are not. It’s a priceless lesson even adults need to ponder.

I have my advance reader copy of this book (as part of the launch team) that will be officially launched on 09.23.23. Let me just say I am thoroughly enjoying reading someone else's work. I had forgotten how much fun it is to turn the page not knowing what's going to happen next. I can't wait to finish the book, but at the same time, I don't want it to end because it's just that good!
