Getting ready for the Branch Night!!

Today is Branch Day at the Memphis Tiger Battalion!! As the name implies, Branch Night is the evening in which the graduating class of cadets find out which branch of the Army (intelligence, armor, aviation, etc.) they will serve in after commissioning.

Happy Monday Tiger Battalion! Today, we had a joint PT session with our sister branch, the Air Force. We left everything on the line today in memoriam of the victims of 9/11/2001.

Today Tiger Battalion says farewell to LTC Curt H. Schultheis for all of his work and dedication throughout his career and time at the University of Memphis where he helped mold cadets into commissioned officers.

We also thank Mrs. Schultheis for her support of our battalion as well!

Immediately following commissioning, Tiger Battalion welcomed true freshmen, recognized scholarship recipients, AASLT, CST, and a briefing from the TNARNG.

Most importantly, we welcomed about new PMS LTC Ferguson from outgoing PMS LTC Schultheis and he set expectations to what he wants to see for next couple of years.

We have officially kicked off the new year!

Today, we welcome three newly commissioned officers into the United States Army. 2LT Bacchus, Richardson, and Vanloon have all put in their best effort since they arrived at Tiger Battalion and now they join the best organization in the world.

We wish you all the best of luck in your respective careers!

Parent: This is the last of my kids that I am sending to college it’s hitting different.

The ROO: IKR but he is part of the Tiger Battalion now he will be fine. We promise.
