We are happy to introduce the newest associate to Allworld, Vijay Ganti, who has joined our Geographic Information Systems (GIS) team as a GIS Lead Developer and Kironn Peters, who has joined our Accounting Department as an Accounting Specialist.

Vijay is from India and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our GIS team. He earned his master's degree in computer applications from Osmania University in 1998.

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Kironn brings high-level accounting talent and a solid educational background. He proudly graduated from Fisk University in 2021, earning his bachelor's degree in accounting.

Allworld Project Management is excited to help play a part in the management of yet another splash pad ceremony! This new recreational space is yet another milestone in Mayor Jim Strickland's Accelerate Memphis Program! The McFarland SplashPad is a fantastic environment where parents and children can enjoy water cannons, interactive features, and a soft absorbent turf play area. By bringing recreational spaces to neighborhoods, Allworld strives to impact residents' lives positively.

AWPM's journey began with one of our first projects, the renovation of Bass Pro! And how fitting that after 12 remarkable years, we're back here hosting one of our Respect Committee events at Uncle Buck's Bowling inside the Pyramid's Bass Pro Shop in Downtown Memphis, TN!

Allworld Project Management successfully wrapped up a fundraising campaign supporting the American Heart Association (AHA), with Michael A. Hooks, Jr. leading the charge as the chairperson for the 2023 Hard Hats with Heart event at the Memphis Sports & Event Center. This partnership between AHA and the construction sector truly highlights the incredible impact that can arise when our community unites to tackle challenges, particularly in the area of heart disease.

Allworld CEO Michael A. Hooks, Jr. was a guest speaker at the American Contract Compliance Association's (ACCA) 2023 National Training Institute (NTI) held at the Renasant Convention Center, Memphis, TN.

The ACCA is a premier national organization that spearheads the education of compliance practitioners and advocates for economic diversity and equitable contracting practices in both the public and private sectors.

With over 700 attendees at this year's NTI, Mr. Hooks, Jr. shared his personal testimony, partnership insights, and the benefits of participating in a mentoring protégé program. We're proud of his willingness to mentor anyone who desires to make positive changes in the world!

Allworld Project Management kicked off the 2023 KY/TN Water Professionals Conference with a welcome reception co-hosted by industry leaders Black & Veatch and CDM Smith! This social event at the Curfew restaurant allowed community-building professionals to network and collaborate in shaping a sustainable water future!
During the conference, Michael Hooks Jr, Dwan Gilliom, and Jeff Jackson participated on behalf of Allworld Project Management, presenting insights regarding software systems, government processes, and sustainable water solutions.

Our Chief Executive Officer, Michael Hooks Jr., presented at the Opportunity is Our Business conference hosted by Memphis Shelby County Schools. During this time, Mr. Hooks elaborated on Allworld's seven service departments, recent project accomplishments, and what it means to be an ACTOR!

The 52nd Annual Council of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) hosted its annual National Meeting & Training Conference. This was an opportunity for professionals within the transportation industry to convene, train and share ideas. Allworld's Transit and Transportation Team traveled to Los Angeles for this innovative conference. Stakeholders from the Memphis Area were in attendance, spearheading the development of the first Memphis COMTO Chapter.
COMTO has 3,000+ members across 38 chapters in the U.S. and Canada. COMTO is the leading organization that ensures opportunities and maximum participation in the transportation industry for minority individuals, veterans, people with disabilities, and certified MWDBE businesses.

Giving back to our community is part of our DNA at Allworld Project Management and the Memphis Stormwater Quality and Quantity (MSQ2) team. It was such a joy and privilege for Dwan Gilliom, Tanja Mitchell, and Andrea Eason to roll up their sleeves to assist at the Southwest Twin Clean-Up Event.

On June 28, 2023, AWPM hosted our bi-annual “Allhands” meeting for the purpose of fostering effective communication across the organization.

With 63 exceptional associates spread across multiple sites throughout the southeastern region of America, this meeting was an opportunity for our entire firm to come together in a display of solidarity at the Memphis Sports & Event Center.

We received in-depth updates from each of our service department leaders. They shared case studies demonstrating the value-added solutions we provide our clients. Bridges, Inc. facilitated transformative team-building exercises that improved collaboration and communication within our AWPM family.

Our most recent Coordinator’s meeting facilitated training to support AWPM Coordinators in efficiently delivering evaluations of our associates and using tools designed to help them reach their professional development goals. Lori, our training facilitator and AWPM Chief People Officer engaged the coordinators in activities focused on empowering staff to perform the high quality of services expected from our clients.

Allworld Project Management participated in the Memphis Office of Youth Services Career & Technical Expo 2023. As a civil engineering firm, we seek ways to inspire future generations of engineers, architects, and computer scientists by exposing students to past and ongoing Allworld projects.

Expo 2023 granted such a transformative opportunity by allowing youth to use Allworld’s surveying equipment, sit inside an All-Terrain Vehicle, touch an operational drone, see the inner workings of a stormwater manhole and pipe system, and watch footage of Allworld associates mitigating flooding across the city of Memphis. As Allworld strives to add maximum value to the community, one of our aims is to stimulate a desire for students to learn, grow, and become productive citizens.

Recently at the Allworld Headquarters, the Respect Committee hosted the inaugural Allworld TigerLIFE Appreciation Day celebrating University of Memphis (U of M) students. The U of M TigerLIFE program allows students with intellectual disabilities to pursue postsecondary education focused on self-advocacy, independence, and employment. TigerLIFE Day consisted of 40 students and faculty participating in career-building exercises, video presentations, touring Allworld’s facility, and an inspiring message from Memphis Tigers Basketball Head Coach Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway!

A special thank you to Methodist Lebonuer Hospital, Boys and Girls Club of Memphis, and Girls, Inc. These partners provided a sense of care, concern, community, and celebration toward TigerLIFE students who continue to pursue education beyond high school.

Lori Von Bokel-Amin joins Allworld as Chief People Officer. Von Bokel-Amin is responsible for developing and delivering strategic initiatives related to the recruitment, training, and retention of Allworld associates. Derrick Joyce joins Allworld as Chief of Staff, a role that supports day-to-day operations, strategic planning, and special projects within the firm as a liaison to the leadership team. Doug Edwards joins Allworld as Vice President of Transit and Transportation/Senior Project Manager. Edwards will support the team and guide clients in strategic solutions surrounding transit and transportation. These highly accomplished administrators have earned reputations as world-class experts in their business acumen, stellar in character, and professionals with a deep desire to serve their clientele. “As we grow and adapt to our client’s needs, we are thrilled to welcome Lori, Derrick, and Doug to the team,” said CEO Michael Hooks, Jr. “Our strategy is to invest in human capital that will enhance our capabilities.”

The Allworld Respect Committee hosted an inspiring welcome breakfast on February 23, 2023 at the Allworld HQ for Dr. Okenwa Okoli, the first dean of color to lead the Herff College of Engineering at the University of Memphis. His pilgrimage took many forms to elevate him into this historic appointment. He challenged a room full of business owners and educators to work shoulder to shoulder with him as he pours out his life, expertise and experience opening the gates of opportunity to the next generation of engineers.

The purpose of the Respect Committee is to foster and maintain our Core Value of Respect (Ourselves, Others & Our Environment). The Committee primarily aims to recommend and organize activities and events that support our core value of "Respect." We are currently planning to participate in a Career Fair to introduce Memphis students to careers in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math. 🌎
