EOS Integrators (or Fractional/Interim Integrators like us at The Growth Compass) work side by side with Implementers to ensure a successful rollout. While Implementers are facilitating from a 30k foot view, us Integrators support the process at 10k feet by collaborating hands-on with the Visionary and Leadership Team (often on a weekly basis) to integrate the EOS system across the organization.

As a Fractional/Interim Integrator, our goal is to help the Leadership Team launch the tools and systems, then hire a full-time Integrator within the organization to take the reins of long-term EOS management.

EOS IMPLEMENTERS (like our friend, Sophia Cole, here in Memphis) are trained business coaches who enter the organization from the outside to assist senior leadership teams with implementing EOS. They do this by teaching the EOS process and tools, as well as facilitating discussion and quarterly implementation efforts.

These folks serve as the TEACHERS, COACHES, and FACILITATORS along the EOS journey and operate at the 30k foot vantage point throughout the rollout.

Who are the people at the helm of supporting companies as they work to launch EOS? Those would be the talented folks called EOS IMPLEMENTERS and INTEGRATORS! Both play an important role in ensuring a successful rollout of EOS.

Of course, companies may choose to self-implement EOS…however, we like to compare this method to teaching yourself how to drive a stick shift for the first time without proper training and guidance. Traction is the sixth and most important component of EOS. To gain organizational traction is to make things happen! How? By having every team practice self-discipline, clear communication, and accountability as they perform their work. Simply put - traction is the bridge between vision and ex*****on.

EOS Component #5: ISSUES

One of the biggest challenges organizations face is getting to the root of problems and effectively resolving issues. EOS has a process called IDS which teaches companies how to identify, discuss, and solve issues so that they are truly eliminated. Don’t we all hate those pesky problems that keep showing up on our escalation lists in every team meeting? Practice IDS and watch those issues transform from repetitive to conclusive.

EOS Component #4: PROCESS

EOS applies the 80/20 rule in process development, suggesting that documenting 20% of your core processes will produce 80% of the results for your business. When you think about all of the work that takes place on a daily basis across your organization, it makes sense that roughly 20% can be considered core processes that help deliver your product or service from start to finish. Process standardization doesn’t have to be a monstrous and tedious effort - focus on the 20% to drive 80% of your results.

BUSINESS HACK: Designated Meeting Days

Why do we insist on running around like chickens, hopping from meeting to meeting to continuously talk about our work instead of scheduling time to actually DO the work?

What would happen if a business decided to coordinate its entire staff around 1 or 2 designated meeting days throughout the week? Think of these as "Meeting Mondays" or "Troubleshooting Tuesdays" where the day is specifically reserved for hosting meetings, collaborating as groups, and reviewing performance.

Just imagine how much more efficient and effective would we all be as individuals (heck, as an organization!) if we were to commit to a meeting cadence like this.
