Dr. Khan is a Memphis native who completed a 7-year residency in neurological surgery at UTHSC & Semmes Murphey Clinic. After his subsequent post-graduate fellowship, Dr. Khan returned to Memphis to join SMC as a neurosurgeon specializing in skull base, vascular, and spinal surgery.
We are thrilled to join the entire neurosurgical community in celebrating Dr. Foley's well-deserved recognition with the prestigious 2023 World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies' Scoville Award.
Dr. Foley's unwavering dedication, innovative spirit, and impactful contributions have not only advanced the field but also fostered invaluable collaborations. We are incredibly proud to have such visionary leader as our Chairman & Medical Director.

The WFNS presented Dr. Foley with the Scoville Award at the 18th WFNS World Congress of Neurosurgery. The event took place Dec 4-8 in Cape Town, South Africa.

The MERI is currently expanding our Lab/Clinical team. We are seeking adventurous and energetic individuals interested in an exciting opportunity to work with the MERI clinical team to support leading healthcare professionals and innovators on the cutting edge of medical science. As a part-time Lab Technician, your role is to perform various functions involved with daily clinical operations of the Lab dept by providing support for educational lab courses as needed. The role provides customer service support to assist sponsors and learners during human cadaver specimen labs, assist with prep of lab spaces, and operate lab equipment.
SCHEDULE
This is a part-time (Per Diem) position with no set work schedule. Scheduling is determined by your availability to work with us and the needs of the department. Your availability to work when needed is key to success in this role. Normal operation hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. There may be some scheduling outside of these times including mornings, evenings, weekends, but generally less than 30 hours total per week.
