Last month, President Scott Jenkins, Vice President Nikki Westmoreland, and Board Member at Large Shellie Moses visited Washington for Legislation Day in DC. Scott was able to learn about main topics such as H.R. 802, the Respect State Housing Laws Act, and S.32, the Choice in Affordable Housing Act. Those who attended our March luncheon had the chance to hear more about their visit and how it relates to Memphis market stability.

Last month, President Scott Jenkins visited Nashville for A Day on the Hill. The key issues were: supporting attainable housing initiatives, with a focus on decent housing for all; legislative proposals based on utilizing third-party examiners for building construction; and property tax relief for Veterans and support for HJR81 to prohibit state property tax.
