We create experience | Please help us welcome our Summer Intern Ryan McGown!
“As a graphic design student, I am so excited for the opportunity to contribute my creativity and skills to such an influential and valued Memphis firm. I am inspired by the meaningful work they do like creating designs that amplify the voices of local establishments and foster connections within our community. In a world where visual communication is more vital than ever, I am thankful to be part of a team of passionate individuals who prioritize community, integrity, and impact.”
Ryan is pursuing her graphic design degree from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and supporting our creative department this summer.
We create experience | Please help us welcome our Summer Intern Lauren Woods!
“Communication is an incredibly powerful tool, especially when it's used to promote the stories of the people within my community. I strive to use advertising and marketing to amplify the voices of greater Memphis, and ultimately work to foster stronger connections between Memphians and the organizations that work to improve outcomes for our neighbors. Like at DCA, I want to do meaningful and impactful work that makes a difference and hopefully leaves a legacy."
Lauren is earning a B.A. in Strategic, Legal, and Management Communications at Howard University, while double minoring in Business Administration and Photography.
“The Memphis art scene is really incredible and constantly evolving,” Swider said. “We thought the city needed a dedicated place to peruse books about the arts — local and global — and the countercultural world in general.”
Congratulations to our Project Manager Annelise and her husband David on the introduction of The End of All Art, a new and used art-bookstore that will pop up in Memphis June 15.
Owner of popular Oxford music store plans Memphis book pop-ups The portable bookstore will have pop-ups through the rest of the year as the owners prepare to open a brick-and-mortar shop in Memphis.
Regionally recognized 🏆 Thank you to the American Advertising Federation for district-level awards for Rendezvous branding and online campaigns, Belle Meade Social environment, and ARTSmemphis videography. We are proud to put Memphis on the regional (and perhaps national?) map in our industry.
We create Storytelling | Please help us welcome Elise Higdon McKelvey, Chief Wordsmith at DCA.
Elise was born with a boundless natural curiosity, which, at the age of ten, took the form of a self-published neighborhood read by few and acclaimed by none. She’d glide in her rollerskates door-to-door for such scoops as “Jeannie Crenshaw says there’s a monster in her pool, but it’s really her boyfriend.” She still has a natural curiosity and creative spirit but has honed her writing skills a bit more since then.
With over 25 years of experience in both public and private sectors, Elise brings wordsmithing wisdom and a relationship-driven career to the DCA creative process. From U.S. Senate leadership in the Capitol to arts fundraising and program management on behalf of one of the city’s leading nonprofit funders, Elise carries a deep understanding of persuasive narrative development and organizational leadership.
We create culture | We’re proud to guide the creative and strategic packaging of programs and initiatives across our clients that celebrate people and progress. Here’s a preview of their official company welcome:

We create potential | When City of Memphis approached us about activating their investment in the Southwest Twin's future, we rolled up our sleeves to literally and figuratively paint a picture of community pride and potential for Westwood. From brand identity to public engagement and strategic activations, we are putting our full suite of services to work. And while the site continues to explore the best use of the multi-acre property, this shared previtalization effort—dubbed “The Plot Twist”—already proves that Westwood and Memphis are ready.
Southwest Twin | DCA The Southwest Twin Drive-In, originally known as the 61 Drive-In, was established in 1956 as Memphis’ second-ever drive-in movie theatre. Purchased by Malco Theatres in 1965 and soon after expanded to include a second screen; the Southwest Twin grew to welcome a capacity of 600 cars. In 2001, the ...
We create legacy | ARTSmemphis celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, presenting an opportunity to further expand the foundation of art for our city and dive deeper behind the data. Through the power of branding and visual storytelling, ARTSmemphis' new campaign shines a brighter spotlight on the greater arts ecosystem, celebrating every layer of the creative process: the script writing and casting; scheduled and rescheduled rehearsals; blood, sweat, and tears; splattered paint and sound checks. ARTSmemphis doesn’t make the art, but it makes the artistic expressions of 67 grantees more accessible, more impactful, and more connected.
Introducing the Sofa Series: A photography experiment to capture the range of people and personalities that we interact with on a regular basis. From clients and associates to vendors and guests, all are part of what makes our environment unique. This is our humble way of honoring them. Congratulations to ARTSmemphis for making the art more dynamic for all of us. Here's to 60 more.
