HopeWorks Memphis
HopeWorks helps people in Memphis and the Mid-South find meaningful employment through adult education, employment services and holistic reentry.
HopeWorks’ mission is to guide Memphians in need of a second chance through essential education, counseling and career development programming to establish a relationship with God while building stability, confidence and a hope-filled future.

Our students are often inspiring, but we're continually amazed by the dozens of people we support in Shelby County Division of Corrections. Even with tremendous barriers ahead of them and difficulties behind them, they commit their time and effort to building skills that create new opportunities.

Monday mornings are the perfect time for a reminder that we have a sovereign God who rules over the universe. With our future in His hands, not even a Monday can keep us down.
HopeWorks is closed tomorrow, July 4, in recognition of Independence Day! We hope your holiday is filled with family, friends and a stellar cookout!
There are few things we like to see more than the smile of a graduate. 🗞️ 😄

It's Monday – here's Biblical inspiration to start your week.
Jose, a highly skilled engineer, faced significant challenges when he first moved to the United States. Despite his technical expertise, he felt isolated due to being in a new country, not speaking the language well and missing his children. Many companies overlooked his engineering capabilities because of his English proficiency. However, Blue Oval recognized his potential and welcomed him into their community.
Determined to excel in his new environment and advance his career, Jose enrolled in HopeWorks to enhance his conversational English skills. His progress has been remarkable, and we are incredibly proud of his achievements.
Jose’s journey underscores the diverse paths our students take to HopeWorks. If you aim to strengthen your skills and engage more effectively with the workforce, we are here to support you.
Many people consider $15 an hour a "living wage," but it's not enough to keep a family above Memphis' poverty level. HopeWorks helps people upskill, earning academic and technical certifications that qualify them for higher-paying jobs.

We want to give as many people coming out of prison as possible the best chance of carving a new path once they reenter society. Want to join us? Click here to support our mission: https://www.whyhopeworks.org/donate/
Our AESL students do more with HopeWorks than learn English – they explore Memphis and build connections!
Speaking the local language is essential to cultural assimilation, but creating community is equally critical. We're proud of our students and counselors who step out in faith together and seek opportunities to engage with their peers!
On this , will you join us in praying for:
🙏 The Lord's providence over our steps and decisions.
🙏 Our staff as they work to spread the Gospel and minister to our students.
🙏 The redemptive power of Jesus Christ to be spread through our community.
We send regular emails to our Prayer Donors with a list of specific prayer requests. If you'd like to join that list, you can sign up here: https://bit.ly/4dfWN9r
