In case you missed it, we have announced our 2024 Children's Charities of Carnival Memphis! The 2024 Children's Charities are: • Binghampton Christian Academy is a private, Christian day and boarding school that strives to develop students who honor and glorify God, promote spiritual and academic excellence, and encourage them to become productive, Godly leaders. • Church Health is a faith-based health care not-for-profit that seeks to reclaim the church’s biblical commitment to care for our bodies and our spirits with an emphasis on helping children continue to grow. • Girls Inc. of Memphis inspires all girls between the ages of 5 to 18 to be Strong (healthy), Smart (educated), and Bold (independent) through in-school, after school and camp programs. We are so excited to partner with these organizations and support their missions! Thanks to our presenting sponsor, Southern Security Federal Credit Union, Grand Krewes, members, volunteers, and other supporters, KFK has become our most successful fundraiser for our Children's Charities. This themed party has great entertainment, a live auction, and most importantly an opportunity to spend time together celebrating our Children's Charities! #DidYouKnow: In December of 2021, Carnival Memphis hosted its very first Winter Carnival to celebrate the 2020 and 2021 years. After a long postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we were thrilled to find a time to celebrate altogether in a safe way that still encompassed the fun and excitement of a normal Carnival year. Even through our time apart, we were able to raise $415,000 with matching funds for our 2020-2021 Children's Charities making it another successful year! #DidYouKnow: The Carnival Memphis Children's Charity Initiative was started in 1999 to assist those who improve the quality of life for children throughout the community. Each year different agencies are selected to receive funds raised by Carnival and the Grand Krewes at fundraisers throughout the year. Since the inception of the CCI, over $4.5 million with matching funds has been donated to local children’s charities!
