GREAT NEW YEARS NEWS!! I have been able to find some flaked/course salt! There has been a wage strike at the main plant that produces this salt and after months of looking and all alternatives exhausted, I've got 6, 50lb bags on order and will pick it up on Tuesday. Next week I'll be cold smoking about 50lbs and production should be back up! Thank you all for your patience. Look for next week's post for updates!

Well folks, my bulk spice supplier is currently out of stock of bulk salt. I'm currently looking for a new supply locally. I will post when I get some in. Then it is a 2 day process to cold smoke the salt. Once that is done, I will be back to filling orders! Updates to follow.

I am also excited to announce that I am in the process of drawing up the site plans for the building that will be dedicated to Pig ’n Rooster spice making! Soon we will be ready for the barn raising! I'm super excited to move out of the kitchen and into a designated space! Pictures will follow as progress develops.

Here was tonight's dinner. Chicken thighs in Poultry Pat and "Mike's Hot Honey", with smashed potatoes and cheese and maple syrup candied bacon and brussel sprouts.

Reposting an old memory, thanks Jeremy for resharing this. That brisket looked so on point!! All orders for the month of July are going to be fulfilled in either June or August as the man cub and I are having a summer vacation with family this summer.

I was sprung from the FB "clink" and blessed to have a lamb chop dinner, supported by my very own Pig 'N Rooster spice: Cattle Coat. Tomorrow the man cub and I take an adventure.... more pics to follow. Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals!!

Our first NFL game! The first time I haven't cooked Thanksgiving (outside of deployments) in my adult life. Super fun, good fans.... they even gave us a towel to dry our tears! Next time I'll bring earplugs.... Giants for life!!

Today was a beautiful day for a farmers market! We are fine tuning our booth and getting referals from the last attendance. We dold out of salts and all in all met some great people. Look for us on the light foot farm store shelves soon!
