The Imperial court artisans hand-picked 8 tons of exquisitely colored jade afterwards a team of 30 master Jade sculptures would embark on the intricate task of carving various model ships a process that spent two years. Their ultimate aim wants to earn the emperors approval once a meticulously crafted jade scale model ship was chosen, and given the emperor’s approval it would be transformed into a full-size vessel.

Today is the seventh day of the seventh lunar month. 七夕快乐❣️ We here at the Belz Museum hope you all are enjoying this special day with the one you love, whether enjoying a picnic, a museum date 😉 or attending a 七夕节。This day honors the romantic and heartbreaking tale of 牛郎和织女 (Cowherd and Weaver girl) who fell madly in love on Earth but were eventually separated by Zhinü’s mother, Queen Mother of the West. However the magpies took pity on the couple and built a bridge so the couple could reunite every year on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month.🌹 #七夕快乐❤️ 💕
