On the eve of the new work week I’m busy planning for a busy Monday of education outside of the salon, I’m excited for a hands on class this time. I still have some openings this week and ’ll be in the salon Saturday as well but am already booked.

🗓️ Keep in mind I’m usually in salon on the 2nd Saturday each month BUT Oct, Nov & Dec you’ll get TWO, I repeat, TWO Saturday options

AND don’t forget HARVEST FEST is the 21st and we will all be hanging out downtown and doing fun activities and prizes

With the start of school tomorrow for my oldest and a Birthday this week for my youngest I am going to take advantage of a quiet stretch and take a few family days. I’ll be back in the salon Thursday and Friday as usual. Have a great week

Mark your calendars for Harvest Fest! The whole street will be full of fun and we will have hair tinsel and a prize wheel to spin.

My day was filled with back to school haircuts, even for MY 1st grader!
And of course I’ll use any excuse to get G-Man in the chair even if he’s not going to school yet 😉

I still have openings Wed & Thurs during the day for more kiddos to get freshened up.

It’s only Monday and the phone has been beeping with appointment adjustments so here’s an updated opening list. Never hesitate to reach out to adjust appointments. If I can get you in at a better time I’ll always try my best to accommodate reasonable requests within my salon hours. You never know what else might become open so you might at well ask 😉

Looking into next week I’ve got some great afternoon spots and even a few evening 30 min appointments perfect to get those kiddos cleaned up for school.

When your client has sooo much curly hair it takes up almost the entire shampoo bowl 🤣🤣🤣🤣

*Story Time*

No joke a client from my past moved back closer to me and we both were excited to reunite being the chair but when I say she has a full head of hair, I mean she has A FULL HEAD of beautifully curly hair. After a short catch up on life this is basically how the consult went

Client “ I’ve got 2 hours for you to brighten my roots before my vacation”

Me “Alright - you cool leaving with a wet head?”

Client “ yup just brighten me up” (she had about 4 inches of dark outgrowth of highlights )

Me “ Done, I’ll go mix!”

And two hours later she left happily with a partial highlight retouch, full head tone & a wet head😉🤭🤣

Today is one of my FAVORITE downtown days, The Twisted Pistion Car Show!! Such a great scholarship fundraising event. Now I know the rainy weather is frustrating and will keep some people and participants away but I encourage you to sneak out between the rain breaks and help support these great people. It’s almost impossible to reschedule something like this on short notice so let’s make the best of it. Hope to see you down.

The back to school schedules are filling up and so are mine! Reminder I’ll be busy getting my 1st grader ready to head back as well so my schedule will tighter in the evenings, starting now through most of September. Please plan ahead and reach out to me now to book your September appointments!

Upcoming availability

Helpful estimates for you kiddos appointments with me:
*I estimate 30 mins per child
*under 3 or 4 I can usually see 2 in 30 mins- no shampoos, they just don’t fit in the shampoo bowl
*For elementary age up to teen please have them come with recently washed hair and I can get them fixed up with a great dry cut in 30 mins, clipper cuts usually get a rinse out after if time allows
*if longer hair wants a shampoo and style it needs to be booked for an hour thank you
*have multiple children or need a clean up yourself? Feel free to book an hour or 90 mins to get them all in back to back 😀 I love seeing a whole family in one sitting

This weeks style theme was brought to us by the end of summer camps and layers of sun screen protected children and I LOVED it!!!
1.) because it makes me so happy to see children getting outside in this beautiful weather
2.) because sun protection is sooo IMPORTANT

BUT as a mom of 2 littles I know how much of a chore it is the get their hair clean after a day or two of outside fun. So when their heads are particularly gritty and greasy I grab a dime sized swipe of our Sea Salt Scrub and massage that all over their soaked heads. It gently lifts away dirt, grit and oil without drying out their scalp. Jojoba beads dissolve onto the scalp giving scrub and moisture and forming a nice lather to get them squeaky clean.
