California law mandates that “any person who has assumed full or intermittent responsibility for care or custody of an elder or dependent adult, whether or not that person receives compensation" (www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources), protect our vulnerable seniors and individuals with disabilities from any form of mistreatment or neglect.

Here's a quick refresh on Mandated Reporting:
✅ Mandatory reporting: If you suspect abuse, neglect, or exploitation of an elder or dependent adult, we are legally required to report it to the appropriate authorities immediately.

✅ Understanding abuse: Abuse can take various forms, including physical, emotional, financial, and neglect. Stay vigilant and look out for any signs of mistreatment.

✅ Training and education: Continuous education and training are essential to recognize and respond effectively to abuse situations. Stay informed about the latest protocols and resources available.
