BSA Troop 383 - Mentor, Ohio

Some of the pictures from last nights Fall COH.
Over 50 MB, numerous rank advancement and lots of special awards were given out. Ben our SPL did a great job as MC, along with Josh the ASPL helping him.
Congratulations to all who were recognized at this COH.

Some more station pictures. Scouts enjoying getting their hands on some of the equipment during their stations.

Start of or monthly camping. This one is the Firelands Fall Camporee. So far they have done the plumbing and the woodworking stations. Awesome weekend with such nice weather.

Troop 383’s meeting was for working on Advancements. A lot was accomplished. After the rope was done being used for advancement it was used for a tug of war.
At the end of the meeting we sang Happy Birthday to Mitch who will be turning 18.
We have started a new tradition of doing Vespers at a scouts last meeting before becoming an Adult.

This past weekend’s Campout included
Digging their own potatoes for a Spud Dinner. Washing them then cooking them over a fire.
Also the scouts did a treasure hunt with gps coordinates with great success.
The nite ended with Ice Cream by the fire with songs and skits. Great weekend.

Last Thursday’s scout meeting welcomed 2 new scouts. Welcome Francis and Mason. We also had a rank advancement to Scout rank - congrats Logan

Troop 383 has a new Eagle Scout Congratulations -Mitch

Troop 383 did a day trip to Conneaut for the D-Day event. We did get to see paratroopers dropped from a plane.
We saw some reenactments and other sites. Most of the scout got to ride in a boat.
We got soaked by the first storm that came in. And we were waiting for the main event of storming the beaches BUT it got canceled because of the big incoming storms. We had fun and would do it again. Just a couple of photos of the day.
We saw many scout troops at this event.

Participants and Staff from St. Bede Scouting at the Lake Erie Council's Wood Badge Training 9-440-24 this weekend at Firelands Scout Reservation.

We have a Beaver 🦫 Lori, an Eagle 🦅 Maria and an Owl 🦉 Paul as Participants with Monica (TG) an Eagle 🦅 and Steve (SM) an Eagle 🦅 on Staff.

Boy was Gabe finally hungry. He did not actually eat all those cookies.

Troop 383’s newest Eagle Scout!! Congratulations Jonathan!!

Being on the Chesapeake bay gave our scouts and scouters plenty of time on the water for water activities. The troop had over 95+ hours of water activities with Steven having about a 1/3 of those hours. Here is Steven finishing up his mile swim.

Scouts did good at Camp Rodney. Lots of MB. Lots of time on the Chesapeake Bay. Some got pretty water logged.
For 2 scouts this is their final summer camp. For 3 this was their first summer camp.
