We are thrilled to congratulate Dr. Hilaire Thompson on her new role as Executive Dean of the University of Washington School of Nursing. Dr. Thompson's work in geriatric care (particularly in fall prevention), has had a significant impact on the health and safety of older adults—an area that is central to our mission at Aljoya Mercer Island. Her research and leadership have already benefitted so many, and we look forward to continuing our long-standing association with the School of Nursing in this new chapter of excellence.

We are excited to announce Professor Hilaire Thompson will serve as the next executive dean for the School of Nursing effective Aug 1. Dr. Thompson has been a faculty member since 2006 and has held several leadership roles. Her research centers on improving outcomes following geriatric traumatic brain injury, as well as fall prevention.

We are confident that Dr. Thompson will bring a wealth of knowledge to the School as well as a comprehensive understanding of the profession and the opportunities for the School to advance its history of excellence.
