Poe’s famous poem TheRaven, and more, will be presented to entertain listeners and to enhance the spooky mood of theHalloween season. The dramatic recitals, accompanied by creepy props, will include explanations that enrich the worksand make Poe’s poems more relevant to contemporary listeners. New Hampshire poet and writer JeffreyZygmont will present the recitals. Raven cutout cookies will be served as a light refreshment. The Lakes Region’s Innisfree Bookshop will host the free recitals. In honor of National Children's Author & Illustrator week, join us at Innisfree, Laconia, for a Magical Illustration Workshop and enter the KidZone Art Competition to decorate our walls at Innisfree Laconia! We will have special guest, Nascimento, the Magical Artist, inspire and guide kids through the magical process of deepening meaning after a Read-Aloud with his Magician's Assistant, Ms. Sharon. Parents only need to be prepared to sign release forms and kids ready to get creative and make mental images about their favorite book quotes, and roll their sleeves up to create!
