The reason why I labored on Labor Day all those years ago....

Wishing the happiest of birthdays to our daughter.

How blessed we are to have her in our family! She is bright and insightful, hilariously witty, spiritually grounded, and confident yet humble. She is my dedicated farm hand and beautiful flower model! She is everything I could have hoped for 🤍🥹.

Family💐

We were blessed to have my extended family on our farm this summer. This was the first time since my father passed that we have all gotten together (only missing one of my nephews).

It was a grand time had by all! It was short... But so so sweet!🥹 I will forever be grateful they made the journey out to Idaho to reconnect and laugh together.

A special THANK YOU to for squeezing us into her schedule for a quick mini session in the garden. We definitely wanted to document this special gathering and she was so efficient, yet detail oriented, with such a large group.

I guess it's a good year for tomatoes! This is our second haul... and we are just getting started! These plants are packed with fruit 😅.

My goodness! These little cherry tomatoes are so sweet! We are snacking on them like grapes!

I can't wait to get these juicy beauties cooked down into some sauces for canning and long-term storage.

I have kept a vegetable garden for many years but with the growing needs of the flowers it definitely gets overlooked these days. I am grateful for accommodating plants that do their best to produce even when neglected😬😉.

Happy Father's Day to my husband 💚

How grateful I am for the awesome father he is to our four children. As ridiculous as he may present himself at times... he takes his divinely appointed role seriously. He has learned from his own father to parent with a mysterious mixture of respect and sarcasm, sternness with love, sprinkled with moments of nail-biting recklessness.
Having had an amazing father of my own... I am so glad my kids have been blessed with one too🥹.

Happy Father's Day to the legends that have left behind a legacy.

It's been too long without him. I try not to dwell on it... But on Father's Day... It's hard.

I wish I could have shared with him our flower farm adventure and our epic greenhouse build. I wish he could meet all our crazy farm animals, especially the piglets. He would have gotten such a kick out of this crazy life we have built. I'd like to think he would be proud.

I believe he is sharing in our farm fun, just from a different perspective. I feel his support and encouragement, but I sure miss him.

Hello Veronica 💐

We planted these beauties last year and we are so excited to start our first harvest!

Veronica is an early summer blooming perennial. Fingers crossed we have a strong second flush later this season🤞. I can't wait to pop these into our subscription bouquets 👏😁.

She recently opened a cool boutique, Phyla Vintage, located in Logan, Utah. She and her business partner specialize in antique and vintage decor and jewelry.

My sister has always had the best eye for beautiful pieces and hunting out unique treasures! She also has mad decorating skills and putting a curated cohesive look together! She impresses me daily!

27 years of growing together💐

How grateful I am for the decision we made 27 years ago to take this journey.

Never would I have imagined what life would throw our way. From crazy careers, cool kids, exotic places lived, and awesome friends along the way... The adventures are sweeter with him by my side 💚

I have loads of dried flowers just waiting to be enjoyed. I honestly can't wait to start holding dried flowers classes again. We have had a little hangup on getting those scheduled, but hope to have that resolved soon.😅🤞

Welcome to McCallister Gardens!

My name is Tara. You can usually find me out working in the garden, tangled up in my latest farm improvement project, or exploring a new homesteading adventure 😅.

A few years ago, in the heat of COVID 2020, our family stumbled on to a great adventure... We decided to build a flower farm in Meridian, Idaho, just outside of Boise.

In every way this is a family flower farm. My husband and I are blessed with four strong young adult children. Each one of them has generously contributed to the farm. We are so grateful for this opportunity to build and grow things as a family💚.

One of the biggest rewards is seeing our combined hard work💪 and long hours change our neglected, dried up, weeded over, ranchland into a garden... Beautiful and lush! And then to see this beautiful garden turn out gorgeous flowers that we get to share with our friends, family, and community has been awesome 🥹!

We service our local Treasure Valley with fresh flowers grown here on our farm. We currently offer seasonal flower💐 subscriptions, single bouquet orders, wedding florals, and DIY buckets filled with fresh cut flowers. We have a regular booth at our local farmers market on Saturday mornings during the summer, and we occasionally offer small hands on flower workshops on our farm.

We still have so much more planned for our little farm. We expect to do more, build more, and definitely grow🌱 more together!

National Daughters Day💐

It actually happened!!

🐓🐖Our chicken was riding our pig! And I caught it on camera! This has been one of my wildest dreams come true 🐖🐓😆😂!

Join us for a morning of creative crafting and collaboration!

We will supply the flowers, wreath base, wire, and instructions to make a beautiful wreath. This class will have limited space to provide the best instruction. Payment is required to hold a spot in the class.

We have spent the better part of two weeks preparing beds and planting beds. The garden is transforming before our eyes!

We are beyond excited to share our beautiful flowers this season!

🤞 Hopefully the intense heat this weekend doesn't take out our tender ones😬.

Our Spring Wreath Class was a blast!

The wonderful captured these beautiful pictures of our evening creating, chatting, and laughing together!

We supplied oodles of our own dried flowers, tools, and instructions. I was blown away by the beauty these women created! It was a pleasure to welcome these gals to the farm!
