All the shapes for this one were cut from mail I received over the last few days. Maybe I should start a “Junk Mail” art series lol

My art sketch this morning. This one is a study in the style of artist Adam Taylor. His work is themed by simple colors and minimal composition. This should result in boring paintings, but Adam’s ex*****on is stunning. I feel there is much I can learn from him that may benefit my own approach ultimately.

Decided to start doing these 5x7 paint sketches on thick card stock so I can quickly play around with new styles, techniques, and designs.

I’m thinking of giving them away free as a promotion. Who has any ideas for how to do that??

I’ve often seen, and have even experienced, when two people each with their own beauty, and burdens, want to deeply connect but their fears and insecurity keeping them from really blending. In this painting you can see the faint bridge they build which does as much to keep them apart as it does to bring them together.
