On this day 3 years ago I gave birth to my youngest baby. In honor of that day, I’m excited to share the “babies” that I’ll be bringing into this world over the next few months!

I’ve been working on a number of amazing collaborations with some incredible women. I am at the place now in these projects where I can start to share all the goodness to come with you! Here’s a snapshot of what’s coming-

First up is a destination learning retreat with Jaime, the founder of . Jamie is an amazing talent and we have joined forces to offer a class that is the foundation of holistic facials. This class is for all licensed estheticians and massage therapists that want to learn more about the “why“ of holistic facials. We will deep dive into anatomy and physiology, the lymphatic system, fascia, palpation, and designing bespoke treatments. This class will be a two-day destination event hosted in the heart of the White Mountains. As you know, these mountains are near and dear to my heart, and another of my passions in life. To combine my love of education, holistic treatments and these beautiful mountains is an absolute dream for myself and for our students!

The next offering is the Freya Flow & Face with the amazing at . This class is for anyone who wants to tap in to their inner Goddess. Amanda will be leading us through a restorative yoga flow, as well as offering her incredible reiki & mediumship gifts. I will be leading us through a Gua Sha ritual intended to bring life back to the face and create a gorgeous glow. The class will help you connect to your inner wild woman, which will bring a newfound sense of beauty and confidence!

My journey to Maine to learn aromatic distillation felt meant to be. When I sat down to write about it, I couldn’t stop and it became far too long of a post. I will try to distill my experience into something bite size enough for IG!

Kathi Langelier is the heart & hands behind farm, where the class was held and where we camped for 2 nights. Kathi is one of the “Fire Cider Three”-the herbalists who dared to take on corporate America to protect fire cider from being trademarked & taken from the people. She founded the organization “Tradition Not Trademark”, which resonated with my rebellious spirit in many ways. Kathi showed me that farming is akin to motherhood like nothing else, and if anything, farming is the less selfish act. Both farmer and mother sacrifice themselves for their young. Both pour the entirety of their love and labor into caring for other living things. Both pledge to do this for their lifetime, all day, every day. Their young are living souls. They need constant care. But a mother could be blessed with the presence of her children for the rest of her life. They may even care for her through old age until her death. Don’t waste your time and money on another cookie cutter training!

Day 2 is spent on applying the previous days learning to the holistic tools-Gua Sha stones and spoons, facial cups and Kansa wands. I’m opting out of surrendering to a screen, joining the Metaverse, imposter syndrome, content creating & generally dedicating a second more to this madness that is social media than is absolutely necessary. I am choosing to focus on the life in front of my eyes that I can touch, smell & feel.

I do not have an infinite amount of time & energy each day, & I want to dedicate what I do have to my family, friends & clients-not people I’ve never met & probably never will.

BUT I love making new, meaningful connections & sharing what knowledge I have with anyone who is searching for guidance. I am always happy to connect via email at angela@goldenskinandwellness or you can book a session in studio through the link in bio.

I am so grateful in that I have plenty of amazing clients who always refer their friends & family to me, so I do not need social media to find more. I am not an influencer, a content creator or a photographer. I have never had the desire to be any of these things. Each of those roles could be a full-time job in itself, & my passion is in connecting with people face to face. I feel called to serve by offering hands on healing services & teaching others who want to take a more green approach to their lives & their skincare. With the arrival of a new baby I am again reminded that life is precious & I don’t want to give social media another minute of my time-I’ve already given too much. I pride myself on recognizing toxic relationships I have & removing them from my life & with the announcement of the “Metaverse” I was reminded that Mark Zuckerberg & I are not a good match. Social media goes against almost all my ideals. It causes us to spend hours isolating ourselves in the name of “connection”. It makes us feel less than. It keeps us from enjoying our life as it unfolds slowly around us. It makes me have the need to be constantly stimulated, when I know that a calm state of mind is where we do our best work. I am a rebel in my heart of hearts & I will not participate in this movement toward living our lives on the screen. I choose deep friendships, the outdoors & being part of my local community.

Moving forward posts will be short, sweet & to the point.
