Finally made something for myself! This was a cool experience in that I cut the tree down, milled the log into slabs, then used the slabs to make my table and barstools. From tree to table, now in my house:)

Get your xmas gift locked in early! :) Solid Oak Liquor Cabinet. The cabinet is solid Oak. No particle board or cheap wood! This is the 1.75L bottle, not the smaller/regular .75 size. Has shelves to hold shot glasses and drinking glasses. Magnetic push button closure. Approx 18" x 18" x 4". Liquor not included:( $200 plus actual shipping costs.

So a guy asked if I could make a round end table top for him. I really tried to talk him out of it because I didnt think I'd like the translucent look (and I was afraid i'd mess it up and waste several hundred dollars of wood and epoxy). I tried and tried to dissuade him, but he really wanted it. Glad I listened to him! I like it so much I think I'll do another one and use it in place of my current table top!

Local Mesquite hardwood End Grain Cutting Board with Copper and black epoxy. This was a local Arizona Mesquite Tree that was felled and destined for a landfill until it was saved and milled and sold to me. Mesquite is a very hard, heavy wood. The Epoxy Resin has Copper colored pigment with a small amount of black pigment added to give it some depth. Has finger grooves on the sides for lifting and rubber feet. Dimensions are 17.5" x 12" x 2.25" $175

Maintenance is simply applying an oil such as mineral oil as needed (and do NOT put it in the dishwasher).
