You spend a ton of time crafting your content to grow your following. You get that post that draws in a new audience. Once they click on your profile, what do they see? Having an optimized profile is key to increasing your following and growing your brand.
Using a photo of your smiling face (instead of a logo) starts the creation of a relationship. It’s easier to get to know and trust a person when we see who is behind that curtain.
Once the user arrives on your page, capture their attention quickly by telling them who you are, what you do and who you target audience is. You usually don’t have a lot of space in the bio description so make it short and to the point.
Use those keywords! If you work with bloggers, make sure to mention bloggers! It will make your page more visible and that’s what we all want, right?

I must admit, I obsess a little too hard over how my posts look. I often get in my head about making everything perfect. The truth of the matter is that people aren’t perfect and your posts don’t have to be either. Showing up consistently is way more effective than being “perfect”. I’m not the only one who has a notebook full of ideas, dreams, and plans… right? I have a stack of notebooks around the house that I use to capture all of my ideas. I don’t carry them while I’m out of the house so I also use the Notes app on my phone when inspiration strikes. Do you do the same thing? If so, are you: A. An old-fashioned pen+paper dreamer; B. A digital dreamer; or C. A combo of the two like me?

Aiming at nothing is a lot like setting a goal without having a plan on how to achieve it. Use SMART goals to keep you on target. What are SMART goals?
S = specific (be specific about your goal)
M = measurable (so you will know how far away you are from achieving the goal)
A = achievable (make it a challenge but not impossible to achieve)
R = realistic (keep it within your capabilities)
T = timely (give yourself a deadline and strive to achieve it!)

Ok - time for some real talk. I had the idea to start my own company for a few reasons. Of course, I really love being my own boss and working on my own schedule, but there’s so much more to it. I could simply do admin tasks and email management for just a few friends if my heart wasn’t in this for a bigger reason. My clients are AMAZING people and I get a sense of excitement when I am working with them. I help give them back time in their day and it fills me with pride when I see them succeed, knowing that I helped them push to that next level.

As a virtual assistant, I don’t always have the chance to meet my clients in person. The great thing about being virtual is that I can assist clients from all over the world, but the downfall is that I don’t always get to meet them.
Yesterday was an AWESOME exception to that rule. Kara from was vacationing in the Phoenix area and I was able to meet her at her hotel. We got to meet each other and collaborate about how I can better assist her with her business. It truly was an exciting experience and I am grateful that she made the time to meet with me!
