That’s a wrap on the El Jefe spring kit development! We noticed a huge improvement in installing the correct spring rates and adjusting the compression/rebound adjusters. It eliminated the front floaty/sloppy feel and is dramatically more planted, plus less body roll. Stay tuned for these going live online!

Meet the brains behind Schmidty Racing Suspensions! Evan Schmidt in the dark hair, and Tyler Schmidt with blonde hair. Evan started the business roughly 14-15 years ago as a side business while doing construction. His shock tuning experience goes back to the 80’s when tuning 250R suspension while racing motocross. From ATV/ATC shocks to eventually sandrail shocks in the early 2000’s, and now today SXS’s, there is extensive knowledge that we now apply in all our builds. Tyler grew up working in the shop helping out and has over 10 years of shock work and shock testing/tuning. With all this knowledge, every setup we bring to market you can be rest assured is backed by extensive R&D not matched anywhere else in the industry! The reason we don’t have customers taking our setups elsewhere to be fixed is because of the knowledge and ground work put in before you ever spend a penny on a setup from us! 💪🏼🤌🏻

Here's Logan rebuilding a set of Walker Evans Velocity shocks. Walker Evans and Fox suggest their UTV shocks get rebuilt every 1500mi. We do the rebuilds in house. We exclusively use Schmidty Racing Suspension 's rebuild kits and components. Suspension maintenance gets overlooked and neglected. New shocks are pricey. Pro R & Turbo R Dynamix owners…looking to add wear sleeves on your front shocks?? 😎 A few have asked about this and we have the option to add these now on front shocks when you send your shocks in. Does require some extra labor as the shock bridges need to be removed to install but is a great upgrade to include when shocks are sent in, especially for the guys in mud or extreme sand conditions!

We use top of the line Parker seals and viton orings in all the critical locations to ensure your shocks stay sealed. Our 7.5wt shock oil has proven to outlast what others are putting in to deliver top notch performance! All shocks receive our High Volume Reservoir End Caps to ensure no premature failures from leaking rubber pellets or low quality schrader valves.

It didn’t end as we hoped but it was still a fun weekend in Parker! We struggled with some form of transmission issue starting about halfway on lap 1 that randomly was putting us in limp mode. It was intermittent so we were able to continue whenever it would choose to go out of limp mode. On lap 3, around 2 miles after main pit we were only able to do about 30mph again and finally around mile 16, decided to pull off before the trucks started. Thanks to all that helped get us here, we will build on it and be back for the next one!
