The US Supreme Court handed a big win to gun rights this morning, ruling that the ATF overstepped its authority by banning bump stocks. This decision will hopefully set a precedent to discourage the ATF from continuing to bypass Congress by abusing the Administrative Procedure Act.

What happened in TX is heartbreaking, but proclaiming to be a 'gun lover' doesn't buy you the credibility to call for gun control from a position of self inflated authority. We've been enacting more and more gun control for a century. Clearly, it doesn't work. The efforts of our lawmakers and media need to be focused on more productive things that could actually help society rather than stripping away people's ability to defend their families and infringing their unalienable rights. The misguided belief that rallying for gun control helps anything is a slap in the face to victims of this heinous crimes.

Everybody is aware of the awful shooting in Nashville. It is important to recognize those who run towards danger, especially in defense of innocent children. The body camera footage has been released which shows the first officers in scene quickly and effectively clearing the building until they located the shooter. We can probably all agree that these men are nothing short of heros and many people have them to thank for surviving the situation.
