Today, we want to highlight the NAHOVA Youth Council out of Lapwai, ID. This youth council was our 2024 Youth Council of the Year!
The NAHOVA (Native Americans Hear Our Voices Arise) Youth Council has 50 leaders involved. NAHOVA engages in prevention activities designed to increase the awareness of substance abuse, su***de prevention and express concerns of mental health among the youth and adults in the tribal community and surrounding communities.
We from UNITY want to say we are VERY proud of the work you all are doing!

UNITY then and now. . . We have accomplished so many things over the years. And more recently, we had our largest National UNITY conference with 3,000 Native American Youth. Our Founder, JR Cook would be proud of the work we are all doing! β€οΈπ
UNITY has partnered with the Southwestern Indian Polytechnical Institute Summer Bridge Program to offer a Healing Circle Training. Together they have identified they would like to advocate for mental health of their student body and are planning their first event to be implemented next weekend.
