Staff SUNDAY this week! Meet our absolutely incredible Assistant Director, ! Ms Jack grew up dancing and graduated from her high school as captain of her drill team and was very involved with Dance Arts Society at A&M in college! Jacklyn is a counselor at West Mesquite High School and is mama to the most precious dog, Scout 🐶 Ms Jack has been with SODC going on 12 years and has been a vital part of our growth. She has been with and guided us through 6 bowl games across the country, numerous national showcases, and this past November, she was our leader as we ventured to NYC for the Macys Day Parade! We are so very blessed to have Ms Jack, and couldn’t imagine this studio without her leadership and passionate choreography. We love you Jack Jack and we can’t wait for another epic season with you! Staff Saturday!!! Todays staff member to meet is ! Ms Sarah has danced at the studio even before it changed to SODC and has been teaching at SODC going into her 10th year. She was on our elite and mega teams and an award winning soloist at many competitions. Ms Sarah was part of six years of bowl game halftime shows, and has worked for Showstopper Dance Competition. Sarah was also part of the startup pro dance team, Mesquite Outlaws and has helped build many programs over the years such as DC Dance and our Sonshine Canter dance program. Sarah is finishing school at TCU this season and we are so proud of her! We absolutely LOVE Ms Sarah Perkins and are blessed by her kind heart, loyalty, and passion! We are doing Staff SUNDAY this week! Meet our wonderful Mrs Megan Cardoso! Megan has been with us 9 years but also grew up within the studio before it was even SODC. Megan was Captain of her drill team at Bishop Lynch and graduated from A&M- Go Aggies! She was very involved in the Dance Arts Society at Texas A&M and did a lot of choreography there. Megan was also part of a non profit program called Camp Camilla based in Northern Ireland for a few years teaching dance to kids ages 9-14. She has an amazing husband named Fabio (you will definitely see him from time to time helping us with all the things), and an adorable dog named Windy. We are so blessed to have Mrs Megan and we don’t know what we would do without her genuine soul and kind heart. Get to know more about Mrs Megan in this post! We love you! ❤️💜

Some of our staff, alumni, and student teachers had an amazing time running camp and creating such fun routines for this week! We couldn’t be more proud of all of the dancers and can’t wait to see them hit the floor! Way to go dancers, you all were rockstars this week and We LOVED being with you everyday! 💜💙💛

Staff Saturday Part 3! Meet Mrs April Sanchez! Mrs April has been with SODC dancing since she was 15, and teaching with us for 7 years! Mrs April was part of our elite and mega teams and has won crystals and even a spot dancing in the Showstopper Nationals Opening Number Showcase with her solos. She has an amazing husband, Luke, and the most adorable dog, Augustus and she is forever the queen of Improv. We couldn’t be more blessed to have her as part of our team and family! ITS 80s week at SODC! Think bright, think big hair, think legwarmers and leotards! Dress in your best 80s flair for your classes this week!

Staff Saturday Week 2! Meet Mrs Marissa Leon aka Moo Moo! We are so happy to have Marissa back with us these last three years after her teaching break and had her 3 years before that! Mrs Moo is an SODC alumni and competed with us since she was 14! She was captain at NFHS and went off and became an Apache Belle and one of the captains there as well! Marissa recently got married to her high school sweetheart and we loved getting to celebrate them. We adore Mrs Marissa and are so happy to have her as part of our team and family! We love you!

We will be postponing this drill prep class to a later time due to an unforeseen circumstance.
We will repost a new date with Joselyn soon, and we hope her injury heals quickly! Until then we do have the other three prep classes coming up really soon as well and hope to see you there for those! We apologize for any inconvenience.
