We want to thank everyone who came out to celebrate our 65th Anniversary! We were so touched to see so many people come and even wait in the line that wrapped outside all day, baring the heat! Our community has always shown us so much support, and we want to thank the council members, the mayor, all the Downtown advisory board members who came out to show support as well. Also a special thanks to J&R Manufacturing for bringing one of their beautiful pits out. And of course, Kent and Lisa, former owners, and the Oyler family for coming out as well. We will see yall again for our next big anniversary!

J&R Manufacturing will have one of their Oyler BBQ Pits here for lunch this Saturday for our 65 year anniversary in our parking lot! Come check out how our briskets are smoked! We will also have a face painter on hand as well for the kiddos. Parking is available at Mesquite High School and at the church parking lot directly behind us. Both have already given permission. Big Boy will stop in Omaha, TX, and is expected to make an additional stop in Big Sandy, Texas, before departing toUnion Pacific RailroadMesquite. The train is expected to hit Terrell first then Mesquite shortly after.

Heads up, Downtown: Big Boy is heading our way. Track Union Pacific Railroad's Big Boy No. 4014 as it travels across their 23-state network as part of their Heartland of America Tour! The steam locomotive is set to pass through our very own Front Street Station Tuesday, 9/17, sometime late afternoon. 🚂🚂🚂
