Fun day at the ball park for the SAMA Softball Squad at the New Orleans Catholic Men's Club Association Softball Tournament! Thanks to all the SAM Fam who came out and cheered the guys on.

St. Angela Merici School was truly blessed last night as we were spared any damage from Hurricane Francine. We have power and will be in communication with our school community regarding reopening plans.

We were blessed with great weather and even greater cooks at the 2024 St. Angela Merici Great Gumbalaya Cook-Off. Thank you to our teams, volunteers, sponsors, judges, and our SAM Fam for coming out and filling your bellies with delicious dishes. It was a great night for the community and SAMA was beyond happy to host such a fun event. Congrats to our winners and can’t wait to see how we top this next year!

Today is Gumbalaya day! Join us at St. Angela Merici School for the 2024 St. Angela Merici Great Gumbalaya Cook-Off at 4:30 as 18 Cooking Krewes cook up their best gumbo, jambalaya/pastalaya, and lagniappe dishes as they compete for the title of Gumbalaya Champion. A $20 tasting band for Adults and $10 tasting band for Kids gets you tasting samples of over 25 dishes and allows you to be a part of the voting by picking your favorite team for People’s Choice. Outdoor concert by The Crescent Kings starting at 6:15. Thank you to our sponsors and judges who help make this event happen.

Santa’s helpers on the grill tonight cooking up burgers and hot dogs. Come on out!!!

Meeting tonight! Duck Gumbo and Potato salad with plenty of beverages on the menu.

Sunday Funday! Come watch the 12pm Saints vs Vikings game tomorrow in the gym while enjoying a plate of spaghetti and meatballs from the Knights of Columbus ($12/plate) . Pizza slices available for the kids and drinks available for adults.

Let’s make it 3 victories in a row! Come cheer on the Saints next week in the gym while enjoying some delicious Spaghetti and Meatballs from the Knights of Columbus.

On November 12th, come enjoy Sunday Funday and watch Saints vs Vikings 🏈 in the gym with your SAM FAM! I Grab a plate of Spaghetti and Meatballs 🍝from the Knights and come watch the game and cheer on the Saints as they travel to Minnesota to take on the Vikings at 12pm. Pizza🍕 available for kids. Tonight . Oktoberfest Presented by SAMA

We worked hard last night to transform the gym to our perfect Oktoberfest venue. Come out to feast on fine German 🇩🇪 schnitzel and bratwurst 🌭 and of course pretzels 🥨 . Come visit the Blessed Father Seelos Altar. Enjoy the best German bier and wein. Live music by The Bayou Bavarians. German crafts , games , and coloring for the kiddos. And if you need more we will have the LSU 🐅 game on outside on the big screen where you can enjoy it all under the stars in this beautiful weather!

Thanks to everyone who worked hard to put this event together! Can’t wait to party with our SAM Fam German style tonight!
