I’m excited to announce that my brand new Mermaid Pocket Square launches TOMORROW! I’ll be busy getting a batch cleaned up and ready to go. 🧜‍♀️🧼 What should I design next??

Meet Sirena, the Mermaid Pocket Square! Thank you all for your help in naming her. I decided to go with Sirena which is Spanish for “mermaid” and seemed to fit her best.🧜‍♀️😊

Did you know that this is what solid sterling silver looks like right after it’s been casted? The heat from the flames is what turns the metal a dark grey color. We call this stain “firescale” 🔥

The first look at my new Mermaid Pocket Square design fresh from the casting! The next step is to hand-clip it off of this sterling silver base which will be melted down to reuse in the next casting. That’s one of the things I love about the lost wax casting method - nothing goes to waste! ♻️

I’m back in the studio again carving the final detail into my new Mermaid Pocket Square. I changed her hair to be more of a simple wave and I’m much happier with it now. That’s the beauty of working with jeweler’s wax - you can always change it! 🧜‍♀️

Ever since becoming a mother, coming home at the end of the day has become so much more meaningful, which is exactly what inspired this new design. So, once these pieces are cast in silver, the momma swallow will be attached to the necklace to look like she's flying home to her babies. 🪺💙 What do you think?

What's your favorite bird? 🦅 Here's the start of a sparrow for my new Birdhouse Necklace! A tip my dad taught on how to waste less wax is to find a piece that's already in a similar shape as the design you're going to be wax carving. I think this one is pretty close. 👍

A sneak peek at my latest design, the Birdhouse Necklace! 🏠🪺🦅 Birdhouses remind me of my mom. One Mother's Day, when my brothers and I were little, my dad took us to Home Depot for one of those kids craft days. We learned how to build a birdhouse by hand and I remember being so proud to surprise my mom with it as a gift for Mother's Day. So this year I decided to surprise her with another handmade birdhouse. Hope you like it, Mom! 😘❤️
