Chipotle Mexican Grill responded to criticism they've been shorting customers on their portion sizes. CFO Jack Hartung stated the chain is telling its workers that when in doubt, they should give customers "more rather than less."

Portion size is as much a part of the brand experience as the vessel in which it's served. In 2012, we consulted with the iconic K-Paul's Restaurant and were given only 1 rule: Don't mess with the large portions.
Chef Paul Prudhomme was adamant that every guest leave with a "doggy bag." It indicated that the guest had left fulfilled, and the bag became a walking billboard when the guest walked the French Quarter.
K-Paul's would ultimately become a victim of the COVID-19 pandemic shutdowns, but the legacy (and the lessons) of the brilliant chef live on.
