Sweet Belgium will be serving up authentic Belgium Waffles all over the low-country. With the closing of our brick and mortar store, we have become fully mobile to be able to serve you at festivals, fairs, weddings, parties and more! We have so much in the works for what’s to come including bringing back shipping as soon as our full kitchen is up and running again😁
We will be sure to post our festival locations too so that you can come by and see us!

After 7 years of happy waffle serving, Sweet Belgium will be closing its store on King street on July 16th at 5pm. We are very grateful for all the love and support we received throughout the years from our local customers and from the friendly visiting faces. We will miss each and everyone, but the adventure isn’t over! Sweet Belgium is preparing a different story. Stay tuned! Meanwhile make sure to get your last orders of waffles from our downtown location. Pick up, online orders and shipping.

Our Story
In 2016, Sergio and his wife, Audrey, born and raised in Belgium, left everything behind and packed up their two young kids to embark on an American adventure. Their aim was to introduce the authentic taste of Belgian waffles and customize them in a fun and unique way. Sweet Belgium was born!
After 10 years as General Manager in the event and food industry in Brussels, Sergio decided to make use of his expertise to create a Belgian catering and event company in South Carolina. With Audrey’s marketing background, the Belgian couple makes the perfect team.
They are aiming at developing the brand even more, just because the waffle is the new doughnut...
The first store opened in Charleston is located on James Island and sits at 327 Folly Road, just beside Roper Hospital.
In 2018, Sweet Belgium opened its second location in Charleston, SC. The second waffle store is now downtown and sits at 424 King Street, 2 blocks away from Marion Square.
