Sure, sometimes you’ll have some opportunities show up to you in your face directly 😂 but most of the time the biggest opportunities start by whispers.

It will also be in front of you, but it is quiet. LISTEN for it and build your antenna through EXPERIENCE. Be willing to help, learn, and give 💯% of your effort all the time. That is also the secret to having no regrets!

I am not someone who came into the real estate business with help from parents or a benefactor. In fact, most people don’t know that I started my career in a rental focused real estate company that does business in let’s just say “undesired” neighborhoods.

I didn’t have any idea what I was doing and didn’t have the correct direction on what to do and how to do. But I showed up everyday to the office dressed better than all my coworkers and worked hard day in and day out.

I’ve never felt the need to tell one of the most significant events that’s shaped my life and what it taught me. But seeing the recent events happening in our world and all the hate spread amongst each other, I feel it’s important to be grateful that being able to get up every morning and walk, is a blessing.

The photo above is my spine currently. A 6 hour surgery called “spinal fusion surgery” that included 23 titanium nails and 2 rods installed along the spine. It was a unique issue.. I did not find out about this until I was 18 years old. My doctor was surprised that i felt no pain and told me my spine measured on a protractor 📐 was at 55 degrees. In the US 50 degrees was considered critical condition and that I should’ve been in a lot of pain already and needed surgery immediately. He was one of the top spine doctors in LA’s Cedar Sinai Hospital 🏥. When I asked what I should do, I did not hear genuine advice. So my family and I decided to keep looking for doctors. We found a doctor specializing in Spinal Fusion Surgery in Taiwan 🇹🇼, and decided to consult with him. Ultimately, we decided to choose him.

Pre-surgery prep was about 3 days, the surgery was 6 hours long. When I was out of surgery it took 3 days just to get out of my bed 🛏 to walk. Mandatory hospital 🏥 recovery was 1 month. And overall recovery was 1.5 years. I never knew what a real blessing it is just to get out of bed and able to walk.

When I was in the hospital, it took a full time nurse 👩‍⚕️ + surgery to get me through. I learned that my doctor had a patient who could not afford the full surgery + nurse. So he agreed with his team to give back 1/3 of the cost so the patient could get the nurse.

One of the most important things I’ve learned from this experience is that you can be a good person by giving genuine advice and be successful, that being able to walk 🤸 is a blessing. Now my doctor calls me iron man, just without the superpowers 😂.
