I worked on this live in Wynwood yesterday with and had a blast! Perfect way to wrap up a series of inspiring and productive events including Art With Me, Miami Mushroom Fest, Chris Dyer’s solo show at Moksha, and Art Miami. I met goals I’ve had for years this last couple weeks and connected to many artists I admire. So much gratitude to for doing an excellent job taking care of our 3 kids while I worked overtime and attended all these events! 🙏🏽💗✨

I’ll be bringing all this inspiration to the studio tomorrow and cannot wait to finish up this piece, and get started on the 4ft by 4ft canvases that I have some exciting plans for!

This is one of the co-founders. One of the most important lessons I’ve learned in life is to trust the process. It’s a tricky lesson, because every process flows in a different pattern and timing. We usually have no idea where we are in the process. Many people abandon the process when they are on the brink of fruition, because the circumstances look so bleak.

My recent mushroom growing experience is a good example. I received a golden oyster kit and a blue oyster kit from as donations to our mushroom camp . The golden oyster kit grew quickly, and has already yielded 2 flushes that had to be harvested - the last harvest being too close to event to expect another flush. The blue oyster kit thickened in the mycelium, but did not pin (yield little mushrooms) until yesterday. I had given up hope that we would have anything to show at Art With Me from these kits, until 2 days before the event, we had this miraculous growth.

Same thing in my life. I’ve had a pretty rough time the last few years, since the pandemic started. Not getting into the details, but life has been very challenging for me in many respects. Very recently, a lot of things started developing for me (somewhere in the mycelial thickening to pinning stage - I’m not sure yet).

I started doubling down on a few things that I had been neglecting a few months ago, and started to see fruits pretty quickly. Pretty soon I will be focusing in on certain things I see working, and tripling and quadrupling down.

What are you neglecting that nourishing might yield harvests where your passions and efforts meet?

In almost every computing chip, this substrate is made from unrecyclable plastic polymers, which are often thrown away at the end of a chip’s life. This contributes to the 50 million tonnes of electronic waste that is produced each year.⁠

“The substrate itself is the most difficult to recycle,” says Martin Kaltenbrunner at Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria. “It’s also the largest part of the electronics and has the lowest value, so if you have certain chips on it that actually have a high value, you might want to recycle them.”⁠

Kaltenbrunner and his colleagues have now tried using skin from the mushroom Ganoderma lucidum to act as a biodegradable electronic substrate.⁠

We are very sad to hear about the closing of where our last party was held to great fanfare. Two of our Co-founders, & also threw here in December of 2020. It was our first event production together, and also a big hit with attendees. At both of these events, we had multiple people tell us that it was the “party of the year” or “one of the best dance events I’ve ever been to in Miami.” The vibe at the Center was hard to beat, and we are sad we will not have the opportunity to host another event there. We wish all involved a happy and successful future 🙏🍄❤️

Just over a year ago, introduced to our own take on . We are thrilled to partner with Center for the Higher Self in to present our newest offering, “A Moveable Feast,” a culinary, musical, poetic and educational adventure of an entirely different nature with our two DJ co-founders, Bryan The Botanist and Alan Epps, presenting a soundtrack coordinated to various courses of fine, fungal cuisine, along with a special guest.

“A Moveable Feast” happens on Saturday, July 16th from 4-11pm, and will include educational talks about the science behind the specific mushrooms served in the delicious recipes concocted by our esteemed chef, Charlie Fyffe, also know as 🍄 All food will be 100% organic, 100% vegan, mostly locally-sourced, alkalizing, allergen-friendly, soy-free, nut-free and gluten-free. We will also feature fungal-themed vendors, and all sorts of spontaneous surprises.

“A Moveable Feast” will be our most intimate event thus far, serving a maximum of 150 fungal enthusiasts, so secure your advance tickets before we sell out at MiamiMushroomFest.com 🍄 Our 3-course Ultimate Feast will include special seating at a communal table, and limited to 25 revelers.
